**I don't think I can change the poll, but please see Nick's post below about the proposed 2006 changes. **

Your poll is incorrect. The 2MR is NOT scheduled to be completely removed in 2006, it will become an option listed in the glossary of our rulebook. If you hurry you might be able to correct it.

You'd do well to consider where that ill-will really comes from Rhett. If someone just posting something on an internet message board can get your gaul that much then something else must be the root cause.
And Dan, I hope they do really plan on just eliminating the rule.

The draft sent to me via my protected source. Why, is that not correct?
Well, the totally unscientific polling method shows that there is a potential for the Unsafe Lie compromise. I'd be curious to know if this ever came up in an RC discussion and if so what their take on it was.

less than 30% wnat it removed completely. but that is what they're gonna do.
nick and his bully gang win.
55 respondents hardly make the poll viable. Making the 2 meter rule a TD option rather than force feeding it to the membership seems to be the best answer. Granting relief for those occasions when it is in effect makes sense too -- though I would argue that 2 meters relief makes more sense, especially given the title of the rule.
I would like to see a poll which asks whetehr one favors the retention or elimination of the 2 meter rule.
and then a separate poll asking whether it should be a TD option or not. mixing the two types of questions make the results a jumble.

blah blah blah
Rhett, why are you sinking to that level? Just because I disagree with you on the 2 meter rule?
