Our Ann Arbor Club's Pro, Mike Raley, has taught classes about disc golf at the local Washtenaw County Community College.

I was reminded of this recently by a post on another thread where Jeff Ash told us that he has been hired by a community college to teach a disc golf class.

It would be a good idea for folks out there who think they can handle teaching a group of 18-20 people how to play disc golf for somewhere between $25 and $50 per hour, to contact their local (a) community college or (b) school district adult recreation program.

It not only can be done, it's not very hard!

I signed my contract, for two one-credit courses, yesterday.
Each class meets for eight 90 minute sessions.
I'm committed to 24 hours of instruction.
The community college has committed to pay me $1,000.00.
The credits will transfer to the University of Arkansas.

Spent some time talking with Jon Lyksett of the EDGE program. He says that the EDGE curriculum manual has several chapters that can be put together to make a nice community college class, and that someone who buys the manual has permission to make copies to hand out to students, etc. Find out more at http://www.edge.org. Don't hesitate to contact Jon from there.

If i taught people how to play disc golf they would have to unlearn everything I taught them before they can play
