Does anyone have any info on 150g aviars and the mirage discs?(110g I believe) I know both are no longer manufactured and that the mirage was one of the most expensive molds ever made.
Just looking for some history on these discs and what the value might be.
Thx.
Here's a link to them:

I have that white w/rainbow rings stamp Aviar on my wall :D
Check the bottom rim of the Aviar. If it's beadless, it could date from the the mid- to late-'80s.
The original Aviar was beadless and came in a cardboard box. Most weighed around 150g, but there were also premium Aviars in the 100-110g range.
Not sure when the bead was added, or when the Ring stamp was retired, but I have two ring-stamped beadless Aviars that I bought in '85, and two ring-stamped Big Beads that date from the early-'90, and I'm fairly certain I saw some new Ring-stamped 150-class DX Big Beads for sale at the Chapel Hill, NC PIAS in the summer of 2000. (I remember getting excited when I saw them, thinking I'd hit the jackpot, until I picked them up and discovered they were DX plastic, not the original, quasi-candy stuff..)

I bought a Mirage for i january for 26bucks on ebay (seller was frisbeerancher). Mirage is the same mold as the beadless Aviar according to Dave D. They shrunk to under 21cm in diameter after cooling of, it was caused by the plastic that they was used.
There was also a 150g ringstamped in original package that went for around 40-50 during.

I agree to these values based on recent Ebay auctions. I got my Mirage for $20, one just sold for $25 + -. The Aviar with rings, with the original box runs close to $50, Ahart recently sold one, then bought one. My box has picture of the Innova crew, another box had a picture of that funky Innova plastic basket with the tubes.
Nice thx all for the info. Tough to find history on these discs.
