Who are the most active people in Disc Golf that don't play sanctioned, or even organized, tournaments? Like at least in the last 2 years?
John Houck
Jonathan Poole
Whoever runs the DGA
Lynne Warren?
Lorrie Gibson
Has Himing played an event in the last 2 years?
Others?
Himing played The Rock, but could not take it, so he withdrew. Last year I think.
Sorry Chris! :D :o

Pete May at least got Houck into a putting competition for a $100 prize (no entry fee) at the NDGC last year against Duvall, Monroe, Pete, Brian Graham and me.

Himing plays once in a while, but he chickens out more than once in a while.
When is the last PDGA event John played in? No seriously, it's a trivia question, but I don't know the answer. I'll start the over/under at 12 years. :p

Houck played a tournament just a few years ago, if I remember correctly.
But then, was it a santioned one.
i know this guy who would be rated at least 980 who hasn't played a sanctioned event since 03'.
Lorrie Gibson pretty much takes the cake here. By far, one of the coolest people I've met since starting to play disc golf. She's dedicated to not only the PDGA, the membership, and generally promoting disc golf, and I don't think she has played more than a few rounds in her entire life!
Proof positive you don't have to be a player to share the passion.

If I did that there'd be no end to the sucking up on this message board :p
Wow thanks for all the additional names. ;)
You know, Jonathan Poole doesn't come up when you do a membership search on this site. Is that a mistake?
How strange but apparently permissible to have a nonmember be the TD of the Best Event In Disc Golf, which requires people to be members to play? :D
That's not to say you have to be a member to do a lot for the game, which you don't. Just strange is all.

Search under all members.

But that's not current members right?

The list is curent and non-current, but the ones there aren't current for this year yet.

I think he won at Ingleside,TX Shule School Open.
right on, i thought you might be talkn about my buddy Don Nauss in Kansas City, placed top 5 AM Worlds in 03, rating was 980ish i think. He didnt play a single tourny last year, and only played about 10 times all year, and that was when i went to visit him and we came to visit me, other than that it was no discn for him. Guy is sweet man, he can drive a mile, and has some pretty unusualy trick shots ive seen him use.

Why doesnt he play anymore??
hes been working alot, and he plays alot of the "other" golf. he said he'll start playn again eventually and that hes not done with it. I gurantee he'll be playn alot more this summer when i move back to KC. Ill drag his ace out there a couple times a week and to tournies with me, so dont worry he'll be back, i just hope some of his skills can rub off on me, if i could only drive a mile like he could.....(sigh)

Mike Sullivan from Toronto is someone I've heard about but haven't met. I guess he rarely plays anymore, and has only played one tournament in the last 4 years. For a while he was the best player in Canada. He finished 2nd at the 87' Worlds, and had a bunch of other top finishes.
Another guy that dosen't tour anymore, and rarely plays a tournament is Jeff Malton from Ontario. From what I've heard he still plays casual and leagues occasionally, just not tournaments. He is most likely has/had the best roller of anyone EVER. He was also one of the best putters in the world during the early 90's.
