Looks like I spoke too soon. It went out for me now, too.

Wow, one of the best, if not THE best instructional disc golf website, is gone. Good thing i have almost all those throw anaylsis clips downloaded!
The site works for me, both at school and at home and at my parents house...
must be something with your connection.
and whats up with the Hardaway avatar Mr. Lindsley?
Their domain name has expired. Some of you may have ISP proxy servers that have cached copies?
If they're not going to be able to renew the domain, I hope they'll provide the content somewhere else for download at least. It was very useful.
There are tools that will follow links and copy everything from a website, but the site has to be up for them to work. On the other hand, just because the domain expired doesn't mean that the hosting has expired, so the site may still be sitting there, just inaccessible by that name.
oh man, that fricken sucks. Luckily for me, I have the dave dunipace instructional article page up on a window that i never closed. Just opened it last night too. Wish i left up the one that analyzed that article...Wish i left up a whole bunch more of them...now I can never turn off my computer so that this window never closes...
... or you could just copy the text to notepad or word and save that...
"Save Page"
Also, at least for a little while, Google will have cached versions of many of the pages.
For example, here's the cache link for the "Distance Secrets" page:
http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:3IbrTvcBnAMJ:www.discgolfreview.com/resources/articles/distancesecrets.shtml
Sigh - the UBB link formatted correctly in the "preview" page, but not in the real page.
Somewhere on this board there has to be someone who can help our buddy Blake get his site up again. I mean almost all of us have utilized and enjoyed this site tremendously and did it for free and Blake did it without much merit. We should step up and try and find a way to help Blake get his site back up. Just my 2 pennies...
I really hope this site finds a new home. If anyone has the article on grips saved I would love to have a copy of it. I read it yesterday for the first time and found several things I could improve. When I went to reference it today it is gone.
I'd gladly contribute some $$ so this can get hosted somewhere else.
This is a good idea... if everyone who used this site gave just one dollar we could scare up some serious cash. I mean isn't the wealthy of information worth a buck? Its not even my site but I would send 5 bucks easily and I can't even pay my bills for the month. I know you guys can scare up a few bucks. Step up and prove the brotherhood of disc golf by either finding a few bucks to get the site back or finding someone who has server space to solve this altogether. Maybe I am giving 3 cents now, but it is (was, or SHOULD BE AGAIN) a great site that benefits everyone.

If he were to come on here and ask for some support and open up a paypal account for it I would gladly donate a couple dollars.
If I can get my hands on everything that was available on that site I might be inclined to take it over myself if I had some extra timem unfortunately I am pretty busy this time of year.
man this sux i liked that site

Actually, if you go to the site it asks you if you want to renew the domain and gives you the option to if you are the owner. Blake just needs to scare up the cash and register. Blake, ask for some cash and you will probably get it.

His site is by far the best disc golf resource on the web.
"I've got $5 on it"
Seriously though, I do ;)
YA actually if you tell your browser to work offline, and then go to your history and click on the sites that might work too. I will definitely donate some too if it becomes an option.

thanks for the support. i am alive and kicking. as for my site, the domain has expired but it is in the process of being renewed. for those who have not followed my site's exploits over time, discgolfreview.com is the third place that my site has been hosted. for the past couple of years my site has been sponsored by an online store, but the person who hosted it has since left the industry. i was informed a few months ago that this would be happening. he continues to host my site at a reasonable rate, although i assume that may increase if this summer exceeds last summer's traffic. i am in the process of purchasing the domain name and having it renewed and the site should hopefully be back up and running by the end of the week.
currently my life has me very occupied with other matters, although i did upload the latest batch of reviews today which should appear soon. long story short, i just graduated college and took the month off to support a friend who has cancer. unfortunately i have hit a bind and am again scraping to make ends meet until i either find some stable employment or manage to score some more disc-related freelance work (which is unlikely seeing it is the off-season).
a big thanks to everyone who has offered to donate to support the site. however, since i do not always have the time to dedicate to its maintnance and i find myself lagging longer and longer between updates, i would not feel comfortable accepting money at this time. however, i have some ideas for fundraising which i shall unveil when i find the time to pull them together. the first of which is another one of my "help me from having to live off ramen" disc clearances (i have had 2 others before) where i will be getting rid of my unthrown and some used plastic. the second of which is pending approval from the involved parties, but if anyone here got a chance to see the promotional flipbooks i handed out at the worlds and usdgc... it involves those (in a new format that i haven't created yet, the others weren't very cost effective).
i will try to get the site back up asap and browse the board here more often. unfortunately, the wrist injury i picked up in september turned out to be more serious than originally diagnosed, and i have been sidelined since then and probably through april. it's hard for me to think disc when i know i cannot play (even if it wasn't freezing cold).

I'll dontate a used, orange, 168g first run Flash. ;)

well, i have posted my list of discs for sale to raise money for hosting fees + to pay my bills that have accumulated.
http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=103
a big thanks to those who have offered cash donations. i would prefer if i could raise the money through people buying discs i don't throw. although at my friend's advice of "what are you, an idiot?" i suppose i would reluctantly accept donations. the site has already earned me more recognition than i had ever hoped for, and that is enough of a reward to keep it going. unfortunately, with things as they are now, i cannot promise more than bi-weekly or sometimes once a month updates.
thanks,
