First thing's first here's my latest take on a would be tournament stamp... provided I'd have printed it on a disc...
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre><p align="center">http://www.godiscgolf.com/onlineStore/images/Items/snowBowl2005_m.jpg</p></pre><hr />
Here comes the poll portion of my post:
What's anybody's take on the best tournament prizes...
More discs and disc golf equipment, t-shirts... trinkets.... of course cash but that takes some funding expertise..Anbody interested in showing some piddly local's how to throw some big air... come on out... details of the event go to http://www.bsdga.com
There's always next year to get a disc stamped :)
Proceeds are gonna buy a 9 hole course right inside the city of Findlay limits... and I'll be playing lot's more!
Thanks Findlay.
Thanks to John Dorn for his official Ice Bowl artwork again this year, and for offering to allow me to use the art on a few charitable item offerings, after I already knocked out my barbaric stock art version.
Lastly but not leastly how can Public park throw a cash payout pro event... just curious... I think it would probably take a PDGA club w/ a 503c entity, am I getting close, Oh and way bigger/longer holes ;)
Did I mention Ben Roethlisberger is from Findlay... the best Rookie NFL QB ever(I wonder if DG would be good for his arm-strength... hell yeah)... that was some ride... too bad Pittsburgh's out. lot's of people around here would like to see Cleveland do something again some year, and it's a good reason not to go w/ the Patriot's and ex-coach Belicheck...
[theoretically I never typed a typo]

Here's a run-down of our succesful tournament:
The biggest turn-out ever for a Snow Bowl in Findlay, Ohio....
Final tallies from the Parks Dept. ...
54 players / 27 teams, and a host of winners with some nice prizes - just terrific. The $406 raised is being deposited into the Parks Foundation Disc Golf Fund, half going to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief and the other half for a disc golf fund...
For more details click to: Black Swamp DGA Site (http://www.bsdga.com)
If anyone else tries doing T-shirt sales, have a printed order form.
I had people write their names on a sheet of paper w/ contact info, size & a color choice... selling the shirts @ $15 each.
If I would of had a sign-up sheet there before the event, I'm sure there would have been more order's... also reserve a shelter house in advance... I assumed the parks director was doing this for us as he usually does... nope we're big boy's now...
So that's the correction of errors for next time.
