Do you like Innovas new Pro Line plastic, this includes the hydra/bulldog plastic? Do you throw it? I wonder because no one around here seems to throw it. A few have bought the Teebird, and Leopard, but after a few smacks on a tree, they flipped over.
I throw a Classic Roc from some long approaches, only because I cannot find any other plastic in that mold.

I started throwing the Pro Line Orc when they came out and conistently get 30-40' more distance with it than I ever did with my Champion Orc.
It seems to be slightly--just slightly--more understable than the Champion Orc...but it seems to glide much better. I also feel more confident with the grippier plastic when conditions are a little (or very) wet.
I also just picked up a Pro Line Beast, and have only thrown it about 10 times...it appears to be very comparable to my Champion Beast.

I throw exclusively gummy candy drivers & find that plastic MUCH grippier than Pro. I was expecting even more gumminess from Pro, but gummy Champion feels stickier & more controllable to me.

I had one of the early Pro TeeBird-L's. It hit a couple of trees and became the perfect throwler. I also have a Pro TeeBird, Pro Leopard, and Pro Aviars. The Pro TeeBird has become substantially more understable for me than the Champion and even a DX TeeBird over a relatively short amount of time. The Pro Leopard was a turnover machine right out of the box. Flat out of the hand it heads straight and turns right, and will come back unless it hits something. It is very much a keeper. The Pro Aviar is also more understable than either the JK or KC. It's understability is similar to a Champion Aviar for me. I haven't found any of the current Pro plastic to be any grippier when wet.
My experience with the two Pro Plastic discs I have bought and thrown wasn't really good. The two discs were the Teebird T and the Orc. Both of these were just too flippy. The Pro Teebird is not nearly as stable as the DX version. DX Teebirds are the best. The Pro Orc was also really undersatble compared to my Opaque Champ one. It was useless into any sort of headwind. Its stability is much like a Valkyrie. The Pro Orc does go a long way though with no wind or tail wind. If you crush it with a little hyzer, it will do a monster S-Curve.

I'm not a fan of the new stuff, too flippy and not as durable. IMO

I really dislike the Hydra/Bulldog/"DX" Viking plastic (is it the same as Dragon?). Trees take HUGE chunks out of it w/ even indirect whacks. I'm not much of a DX thrower (Rocs & Gremlins only), but the old DX seemed more hardy.

I think that the new pro-line plastic is a very good plastic, sort of an elite-x/se plastic that I have seen before. This plastic really shines with the pro-line orc, slightly less stable than a champion orc, yet still stable enough. Great for that huge s-turn helix. The only thing that I can say bad about this plastic is:
1. A couple of tree hits will make it a diving worm-burner.
2. Nothing new, Gateway, Discraft, and even Innova have done the same thing before, they should have kept those 10x teebirds. *Sigh, the good old days :(.

agreed about the Rhynos.Once the grippy ones vanishied and the dimpled ones showed up I switched to Aviars. Nothing was better than a new SE TL, or the 1st SE Valks.

I have only thrown the Pro Line TL's and have been disapointed. I do not have a huge arm and have found the 1st and 2nd runs to be way too flippy (even in extreme cold). I hoped these would be a good counter to my beloved 1st run red CE TL's but they are not even close.

yeah I like it... I carry Super Rocs, and TL's and they work out well for me... I didn't like the 1st run plastic though...
i agree, the first run stuff is horribly undurable, I remember when it first came out and I immediately bought a few First Run Pro Teebird and the first thing I did with one was throw it directly into a tree and it was destroyed :( I was so disappointed, besides the Super Roc, I haven't thrown one since...

I was given a ProLine TeeBird TL. I loved it when it was brand new. It was very straight and predictable with only a tiny bit of low speed fade. It was a "Roc Driver". I could throw it further than any disc I had since it would keep gliding at the point where Orcs or Beasts go into a low speed dive bomb. It also held a line well when throwing anny's.
But it did flippy really fast. I still carry it for long turnover shots (where a Roc won't do) and for downwind drives.
I thought the Pro Teebird-Ls were flippy out the box, nothing like the CE Teebird TLs or CFR TLs
I like the plastic (especially the roc and orc) but I have the same complaint as everybody else. Once you hit a tree the disc is warped and impossible to bend back to its original shape.

but i need to get a pro line orc for distance

yeah the TL's are kinda flippy... but that's why I like them, they're a great floaty disc for long tunnel shots, or huge gliding anhyzers. they're definitely flippy when beat a little bit too... but when new you can put a little hyzer on them and they'll stand right up flat. at least for me anyways
From my understanding, the Super Roc actually has a blend of Champion plastic in it. If you take a Super Roc aside another Pro line disc you can feel the difference.
My Super Roc was fairly stable out of the box. It stayed stable for about 4 months of heavy use, but then it flipped almost vertical. I ended up giving it to a less powerful thrower.

I had a coupld of Pro Leopards that were ultra durable due to a high ratio of champion plastic in the mix. I have not found any other Pro discs with this high of a ratio, which makes sence becasue these Leopards were too stiff/slick to even differentiate them from Champion, leaving no justification for their existence in Innova's line.
Do you like Innovas new Pro Line plastic, this includes the hydra/bulldog plastic?
Why would you include the Hydra and Bulldog plastic in a survey about the new Innova Pro Line plastic?
I love the grippiness of the new ProLine Orcs, and the plastic is a lot closer to the top of the line champion plastic now in this second run (I hear they mixed a larger percentage of Champion plastic in). Still, if you care most about durability, then go with the Champion plastic. If you want to carry several versions of a disc in different conditions of wear, DX or ProLine is probably a better choice.

I like the pro plastic. I got a 04 superroc when they first came out, and got 7 backups for it. Still on my first one, and its still stable. I putt with the proline plastic, Its a little bouncy, but I like the grip. the feel outweighs the bounce.
I think that once you wear the 'shine' off of these discs, the feel improves greatly.

With the pro-line discs that I have owned, orc, teebird first run, classic roc.. The orc was definately good until its first tree and then it was a useless disc. Max weight and you could throw it and it would just flip over on its stamp.
The teebird was a lot more stiff than the pro orcs that I had been throwing, good straight driver and I liked it as well but it still could not take much abuse.
I liked the pro classic roc but I did not use it that much and it did not see many trees before I gave it away.
If this plastic is supposed to be a step up from dx, I will take dx over the pro plastic anyday. I miss the old proline plastic, I miss SE plastic... I am glad I have a stack of SE leopards sitting around.

Well you all know they tweak the pro line/se again. It is champion/proline mixed to add more durability. The 2nd run Pro line Orcs were much more durable than the first runs. If that helps anyone.

What's really sad is that the old pro lin monsters and leopards almost feel like the Champion plastic of today.

I have some of the earlier run pro line leopards that feel like a ce/kc blend. They are durable. I wish the current champion plastic was this same blend of plastic.

I love the beast! does anybody have a pro line beast for sale or trade???

I think the pro plastic, especially the beast, is a great option from Innova, the first run Ts would get flippy just from hitting the ground too hard. I think the Ts are flippier than the TLs. If you take into account for thier flippiness and account for it, these Prolines will fly 30-40 ft further than their champion counterparts.

These Pro Lines are good if thrown a little igher than your average Champion driver throw. They need a little more height to work, but man, they get some serious glide if thrown right. I've throw the Tee-L about as far as any disc I have, and can't wait to get out in a field with the Starfire and Beast.

The Proline TL's are indeed flippy. But, I too can get the same distance (if not more) with them as my Beasts and Orcs if I get the right hyzer on them.
The reason for the distance, IMO, is that they have almost zero low speed fade. So, while Orcs are fading and loosing forward distance, the TL's are still cruising and gaining ground. They are excellent discs for holes with tight landing zones since they line-drive well and will not fade off into the woods. Only problem is they beat up and become very flippy too quickly on these same holes if you miss your line and hit trees.
