My buddy was sporting one the other day and it looked interesting......he said it only was good with 3 discs......4 or more was to much....it would interfear too much......I think just carrying 3 discs would be easier......
I keep two bags in my trunk. One for tournaments or money rounds, where I need to be serious. The other is my "home course bag" It changes depending on the set up, but I keep only a few discs in there.
Orc (for our one hole over 400ft)
Z-XL (straight drives 350-400ft)
Two CFR TL's (Anything turnover over 300ft)
Flat DX Roc (overstable midrange)
Domey KC Roc (Understable midrange)
Champ Aviar (approach)
Super Puppy (Straddle and float approach)
DX Aviar (bread and butter putter)
This gives me all I need for my course, the limited number of discs causes me to throw different shots. With my tournament bag I carry 25-26 discs, this allows me to throw the same way every time and let the disc do all the work.
I am definately a proponent of a tournament and practice bag, it also allows your finely tuned discs to not get beat up too much. My Teebird I can release with a little bit of hyzer, it flips flat, pulls slightly right, and fades slightly back to the right. Sweet....
these bags are the ones that you strap on your leg...its not just a smaller bag ...it makes it so you dont have to carry anything.....well enything but a drink.....their like a gun holster for your discs..... :p
there was a link to a picture of those bags on this board about 4 or 5 months ago. I don't know how to search for it, but I saw them, and it looked like they might be a little weird while throwing with an x-step run up.
I know a lot of people that just have drivers and putters, that way their only carrying one disc for the majority of their rounds. I have a larger bag now, and as a result I carry way to much stuff. I imagine that the quadshocks or backpack straps would make that much less of a problem, because I do appreciate having room for an extra putter just in case, and those discs that i only use for specialty shots, cuz I never know when I'll need them to get out of trouble, and its nice to have my pockets totally empty, I seem to have a much smoother stroke on my drives that way.
those holster bags do look cool to me though.
:p
I apologize for my ignorance on the matter. I am not better informed. Thank you
no worries ....check them out if you can ....you might like them....
