So what's the story on the La Mesa course? Any info on hours of operation and cost to play?
Any reviews of the layout? Has anybody played it yet?

Well, if you believe Reese, you have to have a peg-leg and hook, and wear an eye patch to play this one.

I just called the pro shop. They have not installed the baskets yet, but they may have them in "over the weekend"? The young woman (Katie) that I spoke with did not know much about what was happening with disc golf, so I will call them again earlier in the day tomorrow (619-466-6102). Their web page is:
http://www.cityoflamesa.com/Departments/CommunityServices/GolfCourse.htm
What I do know is that it is a city-owned facility, and has 9 ball-golf holes. The ball golf holes range from 95 to 145 yards from the blue tees. Weekday ball golf fees are $7, weekend $9, both for 9 holes. You can re-play for $4. A description I found on-line of the ball golf course described it as such:
"Almost every green is perched on a hillside terrace, the few bunkers are essentially flat. All of this presents a challenge for kids, but one that offers hope and doesn't stifle desire. And for adults, it all demands accuracy."
As for where the pirates will bury their treasure (baskets), your guess is as good as mine. It sounds like it will be shorter than Emerald, based on the hole lengths. I love to play places I haven't, so I will probably try it soon.
