Im sure this has been covered a billion times, but I can't find it in these posts. So I will ask again. What is the difference between the Firebird F, FL, FX? Which of these is the current run?
FL's are less stable than FX's, which are supposed to be almost as overstable as a Monster, and I'm pretty sure I read that F's are just unmarked FL's or FX's (in CE form) and Champion Line F's are around FX stability

The Champion Firebird is the current run.
It is also the most overstable run that has ever been made.
They all suck, don't waste your time on them. To help you out, I will give you $10 for each one you have.

I have three first run fl's and they are super over stable but with glide. my 175 has been in the bag since 2001. Probably the single best disc I have ever thrown.

The enlightenment you seek is here (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Board=Equipment&Number=215996&Searchpage=0&Main=215412&Search=true&#Post215996).

Nix, I will give him $10.01. just for the he11 of it.
FX's are awesome discs, most stable of the three also.
what if it says FB?
is that just what they are putting on the new champion firebirds?

okay $10.02
but not because they are my favorite disc or because i want them, but just to save you the trial and error to decide they are not for you. just trying to help ya out...

Of the two. Fs are either FLs or FXes, depending on the run. The FX nomenclature was dropped in favor of F after the FL was withdrawn from production. See the linked post by Dave Dunipace above.
Also, some of the light FLs are more overstable than FXes (this is especially true of 150-167g FLs) and some F/FXes are more overstable than others, owing to run variations.

FB is the normal production Firebird. It's simply an idiosyncracy of the person who weighed and marked that Firebird. Most employees mark them F; a few mark them FB.
I love Firebirds! Just started messing around with 150 dx Firebirds ... man are those fun to throw! :D /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
