I am tired of new discathercs cutting my discs up. When you hit the top of the chasity belt, it cuts them sometimes.

Anyone else have this happen?

i only play on discatchers about once a month so i've never had it happen to myself but i see what you're saying.

I get cuts from hitting the number plate on the mach III's we have out here.

discathers are the worst....lets ban them.
wait, i have a problem with all baskets gouging my discs. either i need to learn to putt more softer or learn to just make that shiot at no matter the speed, or both.
as long as they dont break i can deal with a gouge or two or three or four. what else would i do with all the sand paper in my car if my discs didnt have gouges on em?

that problem is easy to solve......stop throwin into trees!
at cass benton we have this "nice" fencing to protect trees.
that stuff takes out mad chunks of plastic. i wouldnt know though, i dont have that problem.

For my Discatcher sport, I stuck an old ultimate on the top with duct tape. No worries. Now, for the stupid chain clips they give u to attatch the tops o the chains to the "lid", those clips will pop open and gnash the crap out of even good putts (well, putts that are high but still go in). I wrapped mine in duct tape and its all good now but i wish someone would have told me! Come to think of it, when something or someone gives me grief, Duct tape usually does the trick every time.

On mine, I changed the Clips for the chains with rounded S hooks and that stoped a lot the cuts too

Don't blame the basket (or the disc) blame the thrower.

My favorite quote about putting....."99.9% of all shots that hit the basket have no chance of going in." The remaining 0.1% are wedgies.

BTW..Chainstars are worse then Discatchers when it comes to spitting discs out from inside the chains.

what is the best sandpaper to use for discs

Dec 24 2004, 06:34 PM
I slammed my buddy's MRV (yes the infamous disc, and no that's not how to throw it) into the collar of a discatcher from about 180 out this spring and it took a GOOD gouge out of the wing. The gouge went in well over an inch and totally f_cked up the disc for good. I have never seen a disc take that bad of a beating, but I guess with D plastic and slamming into the collar at a full speed hyzer, gouges are inevitable.

I play on Discatchers all the time at the course, and I own a portable sport one. I've never had any problems like this.

I would suggest stop throwing your discs at the top of the basket. Try aiming lower, preferably right over the rim of the basket. This will help your score and save your discs!

Hey, c'mon, as much as I hate to admit it, Discatchers are some of the best catching baskets out there!

what the hell was innova thinking when they made the new portable disccatcher(the apollo 13 moon rock finder)****
man

Dec 29 2004, 12:31 AM
i believe they were thinking something like, "hey lets make a cheaper/lighter version of the discatcher that way it can therefore be a portable discatcher"
