Hey great turnout for "Draw Doubles" last night! I got my fist ace ever before mini! But then my wife burnt her arm cooking so I had to leave before the tournement! SHOOT! I got my ace from the white tee box on hole 14 after about six "rips" and 15-20 MPH winds. I must say it felt great!

Saturday is bring your partner double at Crowley! Starts around 9 a.m. and we are putting in the hole that we will use for the ice bowl! There will be a total of 24 holes! Here your chance to show that you and your buddy have some game!

The wind was BAD! It was a blast but the wind was really moving! We played one round of thirty.

An announcement was made at the PIO that they are going to slowly reinstall it. Look for all of it to be back into the ground in the upcoming weeks.

I know that Droopy, James and Cajun went out and put 9 of the holes back in recently and James said that they should have the rest done within a couple of weeks.

Now if only they would leave the tee boxes alone :confused:.

yep, and they are in with enough concrete per backet to make a whole teepad! those babies arent going anywhere.

they moved around 4,5,6. I heard that the city is going to pour tee pads for the red and white tee pads but not sure when they are going to do this. I think they are going to still move some of the holes around in the back! I also heard they are going to try to start a club!

They need to move hole #10.

Yes I think a lot of people agree that is not a hole that you can put that much length on and still have it be realistic! I think all gold tees should be reachable by a pro player or whats the point of having it there!

#10 gold is stoooopid. so is #10 red, at least if its where it was a month ago. some holes at crowley remain a case of erroneously believing that distance = good design.

But if that were the case then 18 down would be seen a lot! That doesn't sound like much fun. Plus in my opinion, courses like the USDGC's(par 68) and the Player Cup's(par 62) are the future of the game. Note: Those courses are not just long to be long. They were designed very well, to test every aspect of a "pro" players game.

Par 4's is what this game needs, but not stupid par 4's that are all about luck. Crowley seriously needs a real course designer to take a look at what they have and redo most of it. They have a really nice piece of land that is going to waste.

You are right but what I meant was you should be rewarded for a good shoot and that hole is just insane and like you said it has a lot to do with the design not the length.

Hey Wed. the 22nd was my birthday and I was thinking of having a game of skin or doubles or some format at night! Starting at 7 P.M. on Friday. I thought we could play red white blue or white and blue whatever everyone decides. I just wanted to have a good time and get together with some other people for some night golf. I am not sure how the wheather is going to treat us though. Hope to see you out there! Lets party! Maybe some poker after the round to win back the money that I will be taking from everyone or maybe I will need to win my money back(that is probably how it will work)! Lmao
