I need some help. It looks like there is a new 9 hole course in our future thanks to some helpful folks at the city of Brentwood. I am looking for residents of Williamson County and/or Brentwood to build a volunteer base.

Please post here if you know of any.
Thanks,
Ron Pittman

Yeah, yeah, I know. Not many Middle Tennessee golfers post (or even lurk) on this board. Just trying to stir a bit of interest.

Let me rephrase my request for volunteers --- Looking for Nashville area golfers to do some volunteer stuff at a Brentwood park. Did I mention that the baskets are already here? How's that for a city moving faster than the golfers?

Thanks,
Ron

Good luck! Always fun putting one in. I have family in Harden county (adamsville) .
Is the course in Nash. and where?

Brentwood is south of Nashville halfway to Franklin.

That is not that far from my our grandparents old house in Bell Mead area. Next to Percy Warner park, a park that needs a disc golf course. If I move to that house next year, I will work on getting a course in that park.

Most of my family lives in Houston County, but some live up near Mount Juliut and Donaldson.

have you tried asking around seven oaks? the regulars out there do a lot of work on that course. some of them must live in williamson county.

Bryan,
There is plenty of room for liberated (and Libertarian) Texicans here in Tennessee! Come on up.

Unlike that beautiful piece of land at the Warner Parks, our little Brentwood course will be sitting in a HUGE meadow. As in singular meadow. On the top end of about 6 acres. About the size of holes 1-7 at BB, that is if you don't count 1 and 7. The good news is that it will be a rather enjoyable recreational course. Families and "2 disc Charly's" will love it.

Donaldson (as in Donelson) and Mt. Juliet have some really nice double-wides. I'll look for your kinfolk's mailbox.

Adam,
Going to 7 Oaks would mean that I actually have time to play disc golf instead of just talking about playing. I certainly couldn't be against that idea. If you have any Barfield volunteers that you don't need please let me know.

mt,
Wow, another Nashville golfer on the board!

Baskets went in last week, still a bit to do before we "go public". Mostly some pruning around our handful of trees. Signs and kiosk to come later. Tee pads are on very long range rador. If the city has a good experience, we may open the door for discussion of a back nine.

Check for a PM with my phone number.
