I am curious to know what everyone thinks of Quadshocks. Are they worth $40 bucks [more or less]. Your feedback would be appreciated.
This poll will stop on Dec 17th ... in time to order one for Christmas. Hope you find this poll helpful in making a decision, like me, if you want one for Christmas.
This info might help. Good luck!!! (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Board=Equipment&Number=219061&Searchpage=0&Main=218962&Search=true&#Post219061)

I don't often carry a whole lot of discs ... less than 8 usually, but I have added a Quic'stick to my bag (we have disc sucking tree tops on our CMC course), and it has added some weight to my bag, along with all the other junk I have in there.
I ordered a pair of Quadshocks today from SUNKINGDISKS.COM (the best online dealership ever!) They will come in handy when Santa brings me my new Revolution Team bag for Christmas!
Quads are one of the best investments next to super feet. I only carry eleven discs but feels like nothing.
Our retailer sells both the Quad Shock and the imitation version. Even he recommends to the experience tournament players to spend the extra $20 and get the real thing. If you bag is really heavy, the cheapos will pinch your sholders.
I love mine, but I only use them on my tournament bag.

The "cheapos" also wear out ALOT faster, the padding I mean.

i'm really happy with my army surplus store $5 y-harness. very comfortable, and it's alot more solidly built than the other options...military grade. nice and padded as well. works perfectly and very cheap.
I think I have one of the few padded shoulder ones made about 2.5 years ago that were not made on a monday or friday:-p. A lot of people have said the older ones tend to rip at their stress points. On the other hand I wear them on one arm a lot when I get lazy or only have to walk a short distance, and I haven't had them rip yet. I've heard the new phoenix one's are a lot more durable too, so I wouldn't even worry about people's rips in their past. Make sure when you do get them they are the new phoenix ones. LASTLY, they are great and once you play with them, you won't want to go back to what you were using ever!
My advice is to start playing casual rounds and minis without carrying your bag. Innevitably some guy who is quitting for his girlfriend will come up and offer to sell you his big ol' tour bag (shocks and all) for like 25 bucks. This will save you the trouble of deciding if the 40 dollars is worth it, and you'll even get a free bag upgrade to boot.
It worked for me anyway :D
