I used to have to think about putting! But then I grabbed a few ;) of the new Cameron Todd Challengers. Wow.
I used to use a less stable disc and I always had to change the amount of hyzer according to distance and I had to put ALOT of angle on anhyzer putts for some reason.
This new Challenger is just as durable feeling as the harder "other" stuff. But it's just MIND-less!! I really don't see how I'm going to miss putts in the circle (I hope) when all I do is throw it straight at it. I don't have to think (COOL ). And I don't know how, but the more overstable Challenger holds a beautiful anhyzer line with hardly any turn compared to others. Just fabulous.
Thanks Discraft.
Challengers are great. Good approach too. Only seen one Cam Todd around here though, but they are suppose to be making bigger runs in the Soft stuff so hurray for that.
What is the difference between the Cam Todd Challenger and the other lines of Challengers?
Does the Cam Todd Challenger get mad when you miss a putt?

Come on guys now that is just un called for.
The Cam Todd challengers are in a different plastic. Its a stiffer plastic that is close to Innovas KC plastic.
I putt with the Cam Todd Challengers in the summer but switch to D Challengers in the winter.

LMAO   :D ;) Just made my day! Boy I'm simple minded! :D
I'm glad people laughed, that was the point.
But unfortunately my personal experiences with Cam are not that great.
First one: C-teir in Huntsville Alabama, a mutual friend introduced me to him just after he was scuffing his feet after losing to a 16 year old.
2nd; He kept whining that my friend was beating him after the second round at the Augusta Classic this september. After Joe drives and Cam's shot was not that great, "Eh, all the nobody's get all the luck while us Pro's hit all the trees". I still think that Cam beat him overall, but that was uncalled for.
Anyway, if anyone were to do the research, my friend, Joe Thacker; recently placed 19th at this years USDGC, and as best as I can remember he place 4th at the Worlds in 1984. So I doubt he is a nobody. But Cam paid his penalty recently so I will let this go, but understandably those attitudes irk me.
I thought that was pretty funny about the disc geting mad. Made me laugh. And I like your name park also very funny. I hate it when I do that.

Nice thread drift!!
I'm trying to talk about a disc and yet again the Board drifts into .
Anyway, I'm liking these more and more. It's taking me a little while to get used to having a disc do what I want it to as opposed to having to do what it wants me to. Just sweet.
Anyway, back to Cam! :D
Two years ago, I was watching his card play at the KC Wide (Swope Gold). There were three people right behind the basket as he was about to putt. Now remember, he takes only a few seconds and then throws. Right before he steps to the mini, one of the "fans" moves. Cam steps off, shakes his head, returns, the next guy moves! Cam simply says "just stand still". The last guy there says "ok". Cam misses the 45 footer, which he probably would have made, cause he was on that day. Does not say a word! I was impressed. Steve Rico was on the card two, and he only got mad a couple times, at himself! I love watching the top pros play!
Sorry to drift... not! :D
I have never used a discraft putter in my life, but would like to try one! I have owned some magnets before but sold them. Tried a wizard one time, but came back to the aviar. I would like to try the cam challenger!!! Maybe sometime (soon).

That would be Matt Orum I presume? That guy is a freak. And I have a hunch his little brother Blake who is 13 or 14 now will be just as good.

Yeah I have played with Blake in the Southern Nationals Am and Doubles Championships, great kid. I have since moved up to Advanced and am just waiting for him to join back up with me.
The Orum boys are great, some of the most humble competitors I have met.
About the Cam Todd Challenger; considering I like a fairly beat up dx aviar (understable) putter for the vast majority of my putts with, I do not think I would like the Cam Todd as a Putter, however for shots under 250ft, that may make a good approach disc. I would like to try it if I ever see one around here.

That's odd, I played on the card on the West side with Blake and Danny Jr in the SN Doubles and followed his card for the final 9 at the SN Am Champs (I was caddying for the eventual winner). Its a small world...

They were listed by Cam on eBay as a "buy it now" item (no auction). I guess I would call it a "KC mid-bead" :p! So far everyone I've seen has weighed 173. And the stamp is just his signature, pretty cool.
