Has anyone built their own baskets for at home?
What did you use?

I built one that catches just like a Mach III. I used a car tire with one sidewall cut out as a basket, a 4x4 as the post, a bike tire on top to hang the chains from, a dollar store umbrella to cover the bike tire from rusting, and 2/0 straight link chain hung from the spokes of the bike tire. It works great. I have about 10 acres that I am going to make into a course, and I'm going to make a bunch of these so that I don't have any overhead expense.

Anyone else got any homemade baskets that work?

I built both of mine from a 55 gallon plastic oil barrel. I cut the bottom off 6" above the bottom and the top 2" down from the top.I used an old umbrella stand base for the bottom and the pipe for the pipes.My only expense was 12 pieces of 1/8 X 1" chain 24 inces long. It works fine.
