DISConcepts disc golf has just completed a 2nd disc golf course in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. The course is on a “executive ball” golf course in the town of Little River (just north of North Myrtle Beach). Harbor View golf complex features an 18 hole tree lined course that is beautifully manicured and lighted until 10:00pm most days it also allows you to play in style with electric carts. The disc golf course plays from the same tees (Blue or White) and shoots at Innova Discatcher Pro baskets set off to the side of the traditional putting green. Some of the holes are longer than the existing layout and some are shorter. The disc golf course plays 6101’ from the Blue tees and 4598’ from the White tees.
Harbor View is located at 901 Highway 17 North in Little River. When coming from Myrtle Beach (~25 miles) or North Myrtle Beach (~2 miles) take Highway 17 North over the Inter Coastal Waterway Bridge into Little River. Harbor View is located on the left side right next to the Sleep Inn Hotel. Also onsite is a driving range and Tribal Island mini golf. With it’s 50’ fire breathing volcano Tribal Island is easy to spot.
Please remember when playing the course that all putting greens are considered “out of bounds” and if you do hit a putting green with your disc to repair your mark. Harbor View can be reached at 843-249-9117 for hours of operation and details.
DISConcepts would like to personally thank Jonathan Poole and Harold Duvall of Innova Disc Golf for their help with this project. If you are interested in this type of course in your area, please call: Pat Farrell at DISConcepts 864-270-3723 and we will help you set a plan in action.

How much is it to play? Does this course have all the amenities of a normal ball golf course? You mentioned having carts, and lights. What about a clubhouse, with a place to eat or drink? Is there a pro shop? Since is is located at a ball golf facility, Is there a dress code (such as manditory collard shirts)? Inquiring minds wanna know.

Hopefully it will be better and more affordable than the Garden City (Tupelo Bay GC) disc golf course. My friend played it in the summer and said the course was 9 holes, less than 2500 feet, and the greensfee for nine was $7.53!!!!! That's not a typo. Someone didn't do their market research on disc golfers!

Since Harold Duvall is involved with the new course, I assume that the course will be well designed at least. I wonder what the greensfees will be...

I do, however, applaud the efforts that these people are putting forth in Myrtle Beach. At least you have somewhere to play without driving a couple hours.

The course will be $7 for 9 holes and $10 for 18 holes, and is a much longer set-up than the Tupelo Bay course. The thing that people need to understand is that most property in this area has been developed around tourism. (Yes, I did do my market research) There is very little if any park space for a regular disc golf course. “Ball” golf courses are still skeptical about the idea of disc golf but some of the more family oriented courses are willing to give it a try. Tupelo Bay is a small “pitch and putt” course that is fun for all but especially the 1st time player. This is a wonderful way to expose people to the game without scaring them off. Harbor View is about 3 times as long as is designed to challenge both beginners as well as advanced/pro players. Check it out I think you will be pleasantly surprised how fun it is.
Harbor View has a small clubhouse, but does not offer food or drink. There is a hotel overlooking the course that does have vending machines and there are many restaurants in the immediate area. No dress code except shirt must be worn. Collared, tie-dye, mock, or t-shirt are all welcome here. Come try it out!
