I had to revise the poll, b/c some names have already been used in the past, I needed to add a few names, and some were too close to other discs. (Aviator-Aviar Apex-APX)

The new disc will be the same size as the element which is over 21.2 cm. They are legal up to 183.4g.
Since the new one will have more of a blunt rim it may shrink up a little more and will probably be legal up to 182g

That way you know the disc is very simaliar to the Element, which it is: same shape and size just more overstable. The Titan is an awesome name but is doesn't tell me that is it like the Element...

The Knife sounds more like a driver than a burly, roc-like midrange. I think of a rim like an Illusion when I hear Knife. Great name for some disc, though.

I the "Resistance". As in, it resists turning over like the regular Element.

I agree about the Titan thing. Thats why I thought of Katana, it goes with Sabre. Knife also goes with Sabre, and all the names you mentioned would fit good too with element.

Cobalt Sabre...Kryponite Element... I love it! They would be sweet plastic names.

I still say Dagger would be a sweet name for a midrange, if it's in the sabe line-up (sabe = longer sword = longer disc & dagger = shorter sword = shorter disc) I guess if you had a putter you could call it 'the pin' :D

Titan is a killer name, but it sounds like some booming driver that you would sail into the sky with gigantic anhyzer and watch it come speeding down as it entered the last leg of it's monsterous S-curve.

I really like both the Titan and the Cobalt, but I feel like Cobalt is more of a name for plastic type as is Krptonite.

After a lot of thought we have decided to call our new SUPER-HEAVY-DUTY Baskets the "Titan Pro-24" not the new disc.
The name Titan gives the impression of something big and tough and we havent been able to find a name for the basket.
It seems to make more sense to use it for the basket.

I have come up with a shortened list and want to start the poll up again for the disc.
Chris Boro, would you mind starting a new thread "Overstable version of the element" using these names.

For those interested in the new basket, here is a description we are working on.

We finally finished the first runs of our new Basket's. They are made from 1/2" cold rolled steel instead of the traditional 5/16ths. They are also deeper dished like Ozark baskets/spider 3 ( 13" deep). They are red, but not powder coated and look sweet on the course. We had them dipped in a copolymer used for park benches, guaranteed against chipping, cracking or fading. The chain configuration is also similar to the Ozark mountain baskets, with 2 sets of inside chains that alternate lengths. There are 3 sets of chains altogether with each hanging independently on their own rings. The rings are not made from cold rolled and are 3"x1/2"x 1/4" shaped like the Armstrong bracelets. Cut sections of 3" tubing, dipped in the copolymer and red. They are tighter to the poll & heavier causing way less action when struck. To top it off the inside "CHAINS" are heavier in weight but similar in gauge. The outside chains are the normal size and weight of the mach III's. The heavier inside chain really deadens the shots without causing deflection. Physically this basket is superior in strength as anyone could see that just by looking and I would put there catching ability up against anything ever made.
We sold a 9 hole course using the Titans to the city of Storm Lake Iowa and will be installing an 18 hole course here in St Louis at the 1st baptist church of St Charles next week.

Not sure what you mean here... Are you surprised that they're not giving away a sample of the new product to the person whose name idea they used? Are you surprised that a person representing a company to the public would have such poor grammar, punctuation and spelling? For a box of plastic, I'd be happy to proofread and edit all of Gateway's market correspondence for 6 months. :D

He wasn't slamming Innova, he was slamming everyone who has nothing but negative things to say about Gateway and Gateway related threads, yet soaks up everything Innova. You need to read what he is saying.

I do not want to abuse the forum in terms of promoting our products. You should still answer direct questions when you can, but it's time we let the discs do the talking.
Pick your spots and choose your words more carefully in the future and I will do the same ;)

George Smith and Johnny McCray won the doubles event in Florida, beating Ken Climo and his partner( not sure who) along with everyone else this past weekend, in Brooksville Florida.
