I know there's Peaks View Park, but that's about it. I'm in school up here and I need to play some disc golf. What are some other courses in this area, and who should I contact for information?
hey, have you heard of walnut creek?
it's pretty close to where you are. you can check out the details at the BRDGC home page (http://avenue.org/brdgc/)
the club meets every saturday morning at 10a. but not this week (11.6.04) because most of us will be at the Sherando Fall Classic.
hope to see you there. you can PM me with questions.
also, do you go to liberty in lynchburg?
I haven't been to any courses up here. Well, Peaks View, but I didn't have any discs with me.
Why yes, I do go to Liberty. I haven't run into any other disc golfers here yet. I left my discs at home, but I'll have them up after Thanksgiving.
cool. we've got plenty of plastic of you would like to get a round in before thankgiving. what do you like to throw?

Hey Jedidiah L. Brightbill, welcome to Va.
I throw mainly CE Valks, but I don't expect those to be in ample supply everywhere. My standard is Valk + beat Roc/Proline (back when it was the new CE) Spider + Soft Magnet. I'll have a car plus my discs in the week before Thanksgiving when my brother drives up here so maybe I can fit something in then. I noticed there's random draw doubles at 4 on Thursday afternoons at Peaks View, which is looking quite appealing.
Why thank you Chris, Virginia is glad to have me. *cough* Almost no humidity too.
I was looking at pictures from the USDGC website...I need to play disc golf. It's been at least 6-8 months since I've touched a disc. Besides an ultimate disc, but that doesn't count.
