I just won off ebay a disc called an xtra, no manufacture's name and no place of manufacture are printed on the disc anywhere. All that is on the front is a club kensington disc golf stamp. The materal is kinda rubbery kinda like a soft putter, but its not. Any help would be sweet.

1st- it's Discraft.
2nd-Because it is the softer plastic it is an earlier run Elite Xtra
3rd- it's a fast overstable driver

I have an Xtra in that softer, Elite plastic and it's an interesting disc. Normally, the Xtra is known as being an overstable disc that holds an overstable line for it's entire flight. At first mine did, but I found that when I hit trees with it the rim would warp and it turned into a straight flyer that had a farily strong hyzer at the end of it's flight. It also seems to have more glide than most fast, overstable drivers and I don't feel like I have to put a lot on it to get it to fly far. It's sort of turned into an overstable finesse driver that works great for s-curves and headwinds.

I have throwen it some, it works pritty good for me with my weak back hand, as said befor it is overstable. I would compair it to my z x-2. It is slower than other drivers though I would say about a 7. I tried it sidearm it turned right over and never came back, so I guess ill just stick to the old flash and xs sidearm.
P.S. That elite plastic abosrbes odors like mad, the guy who owned it befor me smoked, and the disc really reflects that.

I bought a Z X-tra when they came out...seemed pretty dern overstable new...then, as said above, lost a lot of that overstability. I never got mine to glide much though >>> blame the user here.
Think I'll take it out of the archives and give it a re-test spin...both BH & FH.

To clarify, I don't think it really glides that well, just better than other, very overstable drivers. In other words, I thought I got a little more glide out of it after it broke in and lost a bit of overstability.

The Xtra was the first disc I was able to throw really far. These were 2nd run Xtras that fly a lot differently than new Elite Xtras today. To me they seem slower and less overstable than the old Xtra. Same thing with the Z Xtra. The old Z Xtra had a 3 stability rating, not 2.5.

The old plastic must break in quite a bit, because mine shows no signs of being a 3 overstability. Right now I would say mine is about a 1.5 if that. Of course it is warped, so that must attribute to it being less overstable. It is still kida a cool disc to have, have made some nice midrange shots with it. :D

I remember I had a pink first run Xtra and I could not let that disc outta the bag. It flew like it was a 1.5 and hyzered real fast at the end of the flight. Unfortunately I lost it in the drink and never found any others like it..... :) :(

I used to have an "Elite" (not X) XTRA. In fact, it was the first driver I ever purchased when I started playing. I had enough of an arm when I was starting out to get it to fly flat, but it still was pretty overstable.

Once it was beat up, it turned into a very straight-flying driver that finished slight hyzer at the end.(at high speeds) Very predictable flight. I even got my first ace with this disc.
