Coda Hatfield stayed AM? Would JJ still have won? JJ put on one hell of a performance, but man...Coda has mad skills! I've seen both play, and I was just curious as to what anyone else thinks.
Whaaat's

It would have been very intresting to see, no doubt.
JJ won by 19 over Boobs, and Coda regurally beat Boobs by a few stroks. I think these two woulda finished 1 2, but I still think JJ woulda pulled it off.
He shot so amazing rounds out there - the 52 at DMACC and the 51 at Walnut in semis - thats just crazy shooting

Yeah, under par at Walnut is insane since they redid the course.

that would be great!!! afriend who has played with jj(am worlds) and coda ,said it would have been a good race for 2nd jj definately would have won 1st.
I figured I would add my 2 cents on this subject.
First off, I gotta admit.. I would have enjoyed a Coda vs JJ battle at AM Worlds as I think many of us would.
I have had the pleasure of playing with Coda for probably a half dozen rounds since he turned Pro, and the guy really is a legit world class Open player. Just a couple weeks ago, he tied Mitch Mac for 3rd place at the Octoberfriz (with 36 Open Players), and the only 2 that beat him were McCabe and Ron Convers (I think we all know who he is now!). Oh, and Coda also won the distance competition with a 511 ft toss. And there was NO wind to help! It was pretty much dead calm..... Not bad for a teenager.
One more thing I want to point out is this: MTL mentioned that Coda regularly beat Boobz, but usually only by a handfull of strokes. This is true, but most of those were 1 day (2 round) tournaments, and JJ won by 19 strokes over Boobs, but that was over 9 1/2 rounds of golf. So, if you consider the average strokes won by, that is only 2 strokes per round. Coda frequently beat Boobs by that many per round.
Just food for thought....
I am by no means saying Coda would have beat JJ, but I certainly am not saying JJ would have beat Coda either. I think it is simply something we will never know. I do think they would have gone 1,2. But I truly believe the order could have gone either way.
Truth is, they are both fine young men, and are certainly extremely talented disc golfers. It ought to be fun seeing where they take that talent!

yeah, but we've got to fund those Pro purses somehow...as long as every single Am gets a disc and a t-shirt, we're all happy...

how many **** shirts and discs does a person need??? here is a better idea steak dinner and a six pack of good beer.. Now thats a players pack!!!!! of course you would have exceptions for minors and vegies!!!!
of course you would have exceptions for minors and vegies!!!!
Why? They don't give exceptions to people who don't care for the disc or t-shirt now. What's the difference?

Good point Scott. I think a lot of us were waiting to see the showdown finally come to fruition. Maybe next year though. Does anyone know if JJ is going to tour next year? JJ, you reading this? Inform the DB community.

NO - these two are supposted to hate each other!!
Awe.... The rivalry of the future. I am sure that many are anticipating thier 1st tourney. Heck I would contact DGWN on thier 1st competition and request that they write something on it as it will certainly be in demand.
I read the interview on JJ in the recent DGWN and by his responses he is a humble guy. With an attitude like his he will do real well as a pro.....

Nothin' against those kids, it's just that the NorCal kids are pretty friggin' durn good golfers. Not to mention they're combined ages are probably less than your team's. :)
Remember, these 2 took their shot at the Under-16 World title in 2002, finishing 1-2, and then went pro where they started cashing. They both skipped taking a shot at the MA1 title. One was rookie of the year and the other won the indoor putting contest in Iowa. Remember? :)
get them together and send them to Texas so that we can witness their talent 1st hand..... :D

Hey do they hold any type of Doubles Comp. In your neck of the woods?

Nope.
have you ever had that chance to come down and play World Doubles? If you have not, you have to come down at least one time. You will not be disappointed. John Houck has these courses making some want to cry. If MiniBigArm holds true.... You'll may have a problem......
