I was watching the movie "Stealing Harvard" last night. In one scene the main charactors are robbing a liqour store, on the shelf behind the counter was several new golf discs. Also, when the camera was looking from behind the salescounter toward the front door you could see a large rack of discs. I could not tell what kind of discs they were, but I could clearly read "Innova" on several of them.

Has anyone else ever watched this movie and noticed these discs?

I did watch that movie, but I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. Now I might have to go rent it :)

Here's an old thread (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Board=Miscellaneous&Number=47654&Searchpage=0&Main=47654&Search=true&#Post47654) on the same topic.

In the movie "Dreamcatcher", when they flashback to when they are kids, they are playin disc golf. just shows them near the bulletin board and holdin discs. still cool though, and a pretty good flick imo.

I guess you didn't read the book :)... they ruined that story. The DG part was cool though

By the way, who wrote that book, baldguy?

There's a bad movie called "The Tao of Steve" (I think) where they are playing Disc Golf in the beginning using tree stumps instead of baskets.

In "The Tao of Steve", a group of single dudes share a house, drink lots of micro brew, smoke hella barney, call eachother "bro", and philosophize about womanizing and "romance" over early evening games of disc golf. It's a comedy. Pretty funny, too. I don't think they're really on a course, but it takes place in Santa Fe, if any one wants to look into that.

It's not a movie, but on ESPN's Great Outdoor Games this summer they had the distance drive competition with dogs catching the discs (can't remember the name of the event), and while they were explaining the event, they showed an ultimate disc and a DX Valkyrie to compare to the 108 gram discs used in the competition.

I saw a little of that and thought it was really cool that they were using an X-step for dog distance! It was cool to watch.

Anyone see that episode of "Scrubs" when JD (the nerdy day-dreaming guy) has his brother in town, and he says "Hey, let's go play some frisbee golf!"

My little brother and sister were watching this show called Braceface on either the Disney Channel or Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon . . . and the main character has a friend who plays "frisbee golf". They mentioned it in one episode I saw but they never showed him play.
