Hey guys,
I'm going through some trouble right now. i throw backhand rightie, and now alot of my drives keep on having a BIG slice to the right. i've checked the angle i'm holding the disc at the release point, and i release it flat, and if i try to fix the problem, i end up throwin the discs way left.
any help?

2:1 odds that you are starting your pull before your plant foot hits the ground.
try to feel your rhythm, the 3 steps of the x-step and the upper body rotation should probably be like 1-2-plant-whip. if you are feeling 1-2-whip, this is the culprit. if this isn't it, i can try more diagnosis but if my gut instinct is right...

Have someone videotape you and then watch the video.
You will learn a lot about your style of play... /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
When my friend was trying to throw distance he used to lean back durring his pull through, trying to utelize his back muscles. He didn't realize he was also moving his shoulders back and changing the angle of release to an extreme anhyser. Next time you throw, see if you do this. Its a quick fix!

yeah, i was thinking this too, because i used to play baseball. but, i find myself either being pretty balanced or leaning forward.
thanks, though.

hey guys, i went today to Grass Valley and tried to analyze my problem...
it was the plant thing. i wasnt planting fully, and was instead releasing and planting simultaneously, which led to my balance being off.
thanx for the advice!
