Not to give away my advanced years, but back when I started playng the game in La Canada, CA - circa 1980, my friends and I played with a single disc. My first and still favorite was one I bought from the MUNGazine store, it was a 176 gram Innova and I think it compares to the Aviar in design. Okay so I'm going nostalgic. Just curious if there's any other old farts out there beside me and my bud (and my wife and my son) who play a single disc game. I've bought a dozen others (at least) and played more than a few rounds with more than one, but I always gravitate back to single disc.

I play alot of one disc practice rounds at the shorter courses around me, and even more 2 or 3 disc rounds at all courses, but in a tourny I have at least 8-10. With the courses getting longer and the discs getting faster it is very hard to play competive (tourney) golf with just one disc.
Cheers,
Matt

i somtimes play with only one disc i usually chose a roc or puuter but in a tourny i use depending on the course at least 3 but sometimes as many as 10 or more

I usually play with a full bag (even though I've been accused of being a couple discs short of a full bag). But I will play a roc only round once in a while, and my buddy pretty much plays one disc golf all the time.

This is nit-picky, but there is no course in La Canada. It's in Pasadena. :D

I play there several times a week. It's on the border. :D

A couple of times per week, I play 1 disc "on-the-run" & keep my score by elapsed time to complete the round to stay fit, but play with a full bag most of the time.

Hey Blarg:
No problem, I guess you're right if Oak Grove Park is right next to JPL. It's right on the border though, isn't it? I used to play there once a week on the weekend since I lived in Mira Loma (long drive). Now I'm living up in Portland and exploring all the courses I can get to. Thanks for straightening me out ! :o

Almost never naymore, but when I do it's with a Classic Roc.

On this note, Dave D. from Innova says their best "1-disc-only" golf disc will be the new Coyotes, trumping such discs as the Classic Roc, Aero, and Aviar. From what I saw, I believe him.

You MUST go play Pier Park. It is in St. Johns and is a beautiful course winding through old growth and there is NO underbrush! Magnificient!

It's a case of freaky Gerrymandering going on there...looking at the Thomas Bros. book, La Canada Flintridge is on 3 sides. And the Pasadena section appears to be but 30% of the Watershed Park.
