craig, josh is always welcome, but you know how the folks feel about pollocks. They are going to be out of town, but if they ever found out, well lets just say that would be the last straw. So i guess you can stay, just please please dont leave any of your brochures or pro poll propaganda around when you leave.

its gonna be a great time !

thinking about a saturday night poker game?

come on down for the work day there is not a ton of work to be done, but we can always use a couple of extra hands!

Thanks Wilson. For that weekend, I am going to be a Buddhist anyway, so don't sweat it! The only propoganda that may be left behind will be about the risks of cross-dressing while at PDGA events. Just ask Ant Roe or MTL about how bad it can get when you are caught in your pink panties! My goal in this is for nobody else to ever have to witness such a thing again. Let's have some Texas Hold-Em. I'm in. All in!

What time on Sat.?

Aug 25 2004, 01:09 PM
BAG TAGS!!! The UFO has new bag tags! 10 bucks for members only... Possibly 25 to join club and get a bag tag.

craig, let me get back to you on saturday workdaky time

btw in my humble opinion hky has the tightest most original bag tags on the planet

Aug 26 2004, 03:56 PM
I think i heard BS talking about 25 to join with a tag....

Aug 26 2004, 10:21 PM
and just so you know, the regular join up fee is twenty and thats for two years, the regular tag price is ten so... do the math big savings there fellas...

and i would like to add to an earlier post and say that LADIES are the preferred guests @ the house...(if extremely hot, GENTLEMEN may be bumped)

btw...
good luck in bama peterskin

If your playing rec, then you'll have to compete w/ DYG. I heard he is going to tank all of the rounds he plays for the rest of the season, so that his rating goes down and he can drop down a division or two. Makes sense that you both are going to do it, being best friends and all.

Of course you know that MTL is leading, with two hot rounds of 6 under par (50), but there are many contenders close behind. Mike Johansen leads the Open, and Libby Gillette has one stroke on my honey, Sandy Nelson. The weather was nice and the company was great. See you cats tommorrow!

What a blast - I had heard many bad things about this course, but man it was awesome!!! I really enjoyed it - elevation golf is fun - i was throwing orcs on 270 foot holes and not reaching them - that is some awesome stuff there.

Yeah - I choked - oh well. Pickens deserved it. That 45 he shot this morning was very hot (hottest in the tournament for both rounds) - and me shooting over par the last round, I didn't deserve to win. I enjoyed playing with him though - hes a super cool guy. Even if I had stroked him like Wilson said I should have for changing shirts every 2 holes, I wouldn't have caught him.

Thanks to Team Trim for the rides, the thrills and the laughs (no one tell anyone about Friday)

Thanks to Paul Bergey, Brad Smith, Wilson, Ross and all the other non posting members of the town of Hickory for one helluva show - great players pack and an awesome payout.

Congrats to Cam for pulling out the W - thats some hot shooting on those courses.

See everyone and Sneeky Pete for the supertour and then ECU for that supertour - back to back in NC!

Big ups to all the UFO guys! Great tourny. I had a wonderful time. Course looked great! It was my pleasure meeting and shooting with all the MPO playa's. Paul you did a great job TD'ing. Looking forward to next year!

Thanks Gary C, for putting up with me in the car. Thanks Bryan B, for finding me a place to crash. The Tap Room is the Shiznit! Carter Brothers pickin' bluegrass. Cold Beverages of your choice. Good service! Check this joint out next time your in Hickory!

For anyone looking for a real "down-to-earth" pdga event, with a great players pack, breakfast each morning, optional lunch, lots of ctp's, and run to perfection, then look no further than the Hickory Classic. Paul Bergey and the UFO club go above and beyond making this a special course, and an exceptional tournament. Way to go Hickory, awesome job! I think this tourney deserves a B or even A tier status in the future.

Props to KS with a sweet ace on #5, Cutta tearing it up on the last round, and a fun time playing with so many different people. Wilson gets host of the year for all he did, opening up the crib to us all. Beautiful house Wilson, pleasure being able to stay in such a historic structure.

In my opinion, a must go to tourney for any NC playa. C-ya next year, or next week at Sneaky Pete.

good job robert

who??

Sep 06 2004, 06:45 PM
I think he means the disc golfer formerly known as Robert Leonard.
I think he is now represented by three letters.

Thanks to everyone who made the Hickory Classic happen. I had a great time, and believe I won the "who hit the most trees?" award. I was playing pinball out there!
I had some great groups. Had the pleasure of playing with Daniel Hillyer, a great kid and very composed golfer, even when he was struggling on #3 with me on Saturday. We definitely got redemption on that hole bro! Curtis Jones, we're definitely writing a disc golf-themed version of "Curtis Lowe" from Skynard. Hilarious.
Gary, Nathan, and Josh...it was nice golfing withcha.
Had a great time at Ham's on Saturday night, too. Hickory was jammin', and I am a redevoted mullet.

Paul Bergey, UFO, and everyone else who helped out this weekend deserves a huge thanks and congratulations for running an incredibly smooth tournament. With those kinds of players packages and payouts, who would want to go pro?! :o:D jk.. Thoroughly enjoyed every group I played with. I saw some great shootin from MTL and Slim Pickens over the weekend. Good job guys! Gotta really watch out for Mt Leonardo now! he's shootin strong these days. Thanks to good ol Wilson also for letting us stay at the historic party mansion.

See you at Sneeky beeyoitches!! :D

i know its repetitve, but excellent job once again to berger and ufo staff for making this a great event...

i got to see and learn many amazing and strange things this weekend... an angry fred savage at longhorns, MtL using a hairdryer in interesting ways, how quickly you can collapse a hotel bed with a flying yahnni, belgian waffles are overrrated, k-smith hitting 2 baskets and getting an ace in the 1st round, hole 17 is my *****, and wilson carding 10 birdies in the 3rd followed by 1 in the 4th.

i'd also like to thank wilson for giving me the opportunity to call my first foot fault in a pdga tourney.... i got my first taste of authority an i liked it.

Good call on the foot fault Yahni. Murphy told me about it, and I would have called it also. Im sure it made a positive difference for Wilson considering the circumstances.

The Hickory Classic turned out to be a huge success. Thanks to all the outa towners who came to support discgolf in our small city of Hickory. We had a great turn out and awesome weather. I would like to give a big up to Paul Bergey, he is a great guy, TD, and friend. The glass trophies were off the chain. I would also like to thank the PDGA for donating a free membership as a prize for a CTP. Thats all I was gunning for.
Last but not least the UFO club deserves much praise not only for taking excellent care of the local course but helping bring discgolf into our lives.

The results from the First Annual Wilsons Saturday Night Holdem Poker Game is as follows
1st Place Josh Jesus Fergusson Blackwell
2nd Place Ross Moneymaker Porter
3rd Place Matty Hellmuth Scopes
thanx to all the competitors who were involved

Thank you out-of-towners for the gracious posts. They mean a lot and make the months of preperation worth it all. Personal thanks to Paul, Brad, Brent, Freddie and many more workers than ever dedicated to keeping Hilton looking prime. I'm just glad we got it all in before H-cane Frances raised the lake level 4 feet. Anyone who played from the beach on hole 7 would be shocked to see that there is no beach this week.

Come back to see us anytime.
