This year's SoCal Disc Golf Championships will be held at beautiful La Mirada Regional Park on September 25th and 26th. This will be a 4 round tourney, with 2 rounds on Saturday and 2 rounds on Sunday. No final 9s. Entry forms are available at:

http://www.socaldiscgolf.org/

This year the Finals will be one weekend instead of two, so space will be more limited. There is a hard cap of 144 players on the dual 18 hole course layout. That means 4-somes, which is so much more enjoyable to play.

Also new is a priority registration period for current SoCal members, which lasts from now through August 21st. With 136 current members and 144 spots, every single SoCal member can play this event. This is a benefit of supporting the organization. We hope to mail out entry forms this weekend, but tell your SoCal member friends about this priority period so that they can fer sure get in too.

Entries must be received by the 21st to guarrantee a spot. On the 22nd I will add any non-member entries I have received to the registration list.

This is a PDGA B-Tier event. We are working on another killer players pack, and hope to top last year's by a little bit. There will also be CTPs and probably a drawing. At this point, we are not providing lunch, but hope to work something out about that if we can. Check the SoCal website for breaking news as the event gets closer.

And sign up today!

Tee sign sponsorship is available for the SoCal Championships at La Mirada, and do we have a deal for you!

$30 gets your logo or message on an 11 x 14 tee sign at the Championships. We appreciate your support for this great event.

75 entrants already. That's over half full with about a month to go! Get your entries in now if you want to play this event.

Check pre-registrating at:
http://www.socaldiscgolf.org/

I still have tee-signs available at the bargain price of $30.

Working on a limited few InnColor discs, too.

Sep 02 2004, 01:15 AM
81 players pre-registered already. 144 is coming fast, so don't delay if you want to play.

Just a clarification: you do not have to be a SoCal member to play. SoCal members had an exclusive sign up period as a benefit of membership, but that time has passed. So get your entry in.

Sep 12 2004, 05:53 PM
112 people entered so far. That only leaves 32 spots open. Mail in those entries if you haven't already! I expect this to be full by the end of the week.

Sep 12 2004, 06:06 PM
Looks like SoCal will be adding $2,000 to the purse to be divided by all players, and then another $700+ to the pro purse.

That on top of Starfires, CE Aviar minis, and embroidered towels for the player pack and killer color trophies.

This is a tourney you don't want to miss. :)

Sep 14 2004, 12:21 AM
Yowza, only 22 spots left. We are at 122 entries as of the 9/13 mail.

If you aren't signed up, mail it in now. It might already be too late. Please don't call, just mail it in. I have decided that the fairest way to do this is to take entries as they come in the mail. The last spot will go to whoever's entry is on top on the day that it arrives. There will be no calling to hold a spot. Mail it in now!

I will start a waiting list when we get full. If there is a waiting list (there certainly should be) I will give full refunds to pre-registrants up until Friday the 24th at 6:00 PM as long as there are wait-listers to fill their spots. Otherwise withdraw by 9/22 (Wednesday) if you aren't sure you can make it.

There will be no Saturday sign-ups. If you don't get in off the wait-list on Friday, you aren't in. Sorry, but that's how it goes for this one.

Congrats to all those who have mailed their entries in early! And thanks. It sure makes planning a lot easier. :)

InnColor discs are $25 each. Email me to hold one for you. They are Starfires. Bring cash on Friday to LaMa. The disc you buy might make the difference between lunch being provided or not, so it all goes to worthy cause.....your belly! :D

Seriously though, if I can sell them all in advance that will mean more perks during the tourney for all the players.

If you are not playing the tourney or in the area and want to support our tourney, I will mail it to you USPS Priority Mial for $5 more making the total $30. Since I expect to run out before the tourney, I will need to receive your Money Order (no checks, please) by next Thursday 9/23. Otherwise I will sell them at the tourney. Player pack currently stands as a tourney stamped Starfire (Not a full-color InnColor disc!), an embroidered towel, and tourney stamped CE Aviar mini.

In addition, I am having 25 full color InnColor Starfires made as a fundraiser. Those are $25 each and there are about 15 that aren't spoken for.

As for the added cash, I might pull some of that out to pay for players lunches one day. There will be hot food available for sale on site at the park. If things go well you won't have to buy it, but at the worst it will be there for sale.

No, I am just having some fun :p I knew it wouldn't take u more than two clicks to respond to that one. I'm excited as all get out about the Tourney, and I should be able to find someone to sell the Starfire to out of my players pack (hint hint to everyone), eventhough it won't be a pretty InnColour disc.

Make it World-Champion hopeful then...speaking of DG families, and of Novices...er, REC players, Jon Lingren is a MJ3 who moved [up? over?] to MA3 at Santa Maria, and did quite well, scoring 20 points. Jon is entered in MA3, brother Chris in MA2, alongside Poppa Peter.

MA3 [Rec]: What's the guideline here; does it go by just experience, or rankings, too? Meaning, is there a 'cap'? Because sure, one can improve in the middle of the season, but check these Wintertime INTERMEDIATE round rankings: 846, 872, 882. 869 current ranking. Yikes, is that right for REC? If you have to withdraw, I will offer full refunds to all withdrawls up until 6:00 PM Friday provided there is a wait-lister to take your place. Otherwise withdraw by Wednesday for a full refund.

*choke* I guess I AM a real rec!

MA3: Fully-qualified David Waud takes a 31-point lead into the Finale' over George Coatman. There are at present 15 MA3s entered in the competition, so the division CAN gererate roughly 30+ points... however...both David and George have anted-up in four competitions so far, meaning the Champs' points will replace some scores. So, unless some miracle happens, and a grippe of MA3's gets in the tourney at the 'last' minute, David will get the nod.

Steve, I see you're registered...hope to get a chance to wish you well in person, prolly Sunday.

The SoCal Championships are now full. Check the registration list to see if you are in. Two waiting lists have been created: one for ams and one for pros. If an am has to drop out by Friday, the first am will be let in. If a pro drops out by Friday, the first pro will be let in. I don't expect many people to drop out at this point, but if you want to get on the waitlist now and you haven't sent in your registration yet, send it in without any payment and I'll add you to the waitlist. (No use sending in money now since I really don't think you'll get in at this point.) I'll call you by 6:00 PM Friday if you lucked out and got in. If you already mailed your entry with payment and don't see your name on the registration list or the waitlist, I'll add you to the waitlist when I get your entry form. The waitlist works just like registration: first in my postal mailbox, first on the list. It just seems like the fairest way to me.

BTW, Jon Follingstad was the luckiest of the lucky, as his letter was on top when I brought in Saturday's mail. :) Graham Walker filled out the field in pros. There were *FIVE* other entries in that batch that are now on the waitlist. Way to luck out, JonJon! :D:) :D

Lunch! We will be providing lunch for all the players both Saturday and Sunday! Saturday will be barbeque chicken with 2 sides (pick from beans, cole slaw, or fruit) and a roll with a drink. Sunday will be chicken and beef kabobs (one of each) on a bed of rice with fruit on the side and a drink. Should be quite tasty.

John the 24 Hour Marathon discs were never advertised as INNcolor discs but stamped on DX Rocs. This is a completely different process. Also note the price difference for INNcolor discs and DX color discs.

I don't have them yet, but in looking at my Golden State Classic discs and my Worlds discs, I have every reason to believe that they will look exactly like that. I used a 5MP resolution digital photo so that the discs should be very crisp. And yes the image will be edge-to-edge.

Sep 20 2004, 05:38 PM
...so how about the MA2s, the so called "Intermediate" players?

It's one of the most popular, and biggest divisions, meaning big points. However, because it is so popular, the top 6 heading into the Finale' have all played in 4+ tourneys, and you know [by now] what that means: Trying to improve on, and replacing an existing low score, not just adding to the total. With 32 registered, the winner is looking in the neighborhood of 50+ points for a win [going 1/3 deep placers].

At present, the leaders are Richard Thompson [I'm guessing not the recording artist?] and Lawrence Halili, @ 202, and 186. Both are looking to drop a low score of 40 points. Lawrence needs to finish at least 8 places ahead of Richard to force a tiebreak, which is tough, but doable...he finished 18 points up @ Wintertime.

Father/son Peter and Chris Lindgren are 30, and 32 back of Richard. First place for either is probably out, but at only 14, and 16 points out of second, there could be some shuffling near the top. How? I estimate the division win to be worth 51 points, and Peter & Chris are looking to drop 32, and 36, resp. That means an improvement of 19-14 points [and more] is possible. Peter could slip into second with a win if Lawrence doesn't improve on that 40 score. And Chris could finish ahead of Pop by just playing well; a scant 3 places ahead could force a tie [likely for 3rd].

rhett
Sep 20 2004, 05:49 PM
Hmmm....my analysis says that only Lawrence and I can take the crown from Richard Thompson, and only by finishing in 1st place. Since I am not playing so I can run the event, that leaves Lawrence. (If the new ratings come out tomorrow I probably wouldn't be able to play MA2 anyway. Plus I never play worth a crap at LaMa unless it is a grudge match tag-challenge against Keith, so I am tripley out of it. :) )

Also of note is that Richard is playing Advanced in this tourney.

slo
Sep 20 2004, 06:19 PM
Way to step-it-up, Richard! OK, that does change things. Lawrence is still slated for MA2, however...since Richard's 202 total is set, Lawrence knows he can tie with a 56, as 56-40= a 16-point improvement.

Will there be that many points available? That field of 32 players is likely to say the way it is; the part where I'm doing the guesswork is: How deep will the placers go? If it's one-third deep, or 11 places, that's 10+31+10=51...just short. If it goes half, 16 places, that's 10+31+15=56...just enough.

...but perhaps I'm missing something if Rhett is still mathmatically 'in it': That 56+141 [in just 3 tourneys] 'only' equals 197.

...it will be a happy, happy day when SoCal has a large-enough volunteer base for a TD to play in his own event!!!

...but perhaps I'm missing something if Rhett is still mathmatically 'in it': That 56+141 [in just 3 tourneys] 'only' equals 197.

Hmmm....that must've been when I was erroneously using a 40 player total that I thought I had a shot at it if a miracle occured. (Miracle being me taking 1st at LaMa in any division!) :)

...it will be a happy, happy day when SoCal has a large-enough volunteer base for a TD to play in his own event!!!

I don't see that ever happening, slo, as I believe a smooth running tournament requires at least one person to not play. (Preferably a minimum of 2 non-playing staffers.) It only makes sense that the TD be one of the non-players. Anyway, that's what I see as the key to well-run event.

Mark Collicott is not current PDGA [?!?] but he was well over 1000 the last time I saw him in the listings. Yup, he's a Master, too...he's also the 2000 MPO Champ @ this meet! Chris Brophy [still young and fresh] is on the waiting list; he's 998. Seems like he's been stuck on 998 forever.

I just noticed Micah Dorius [1021 rating] is neither entered, NOR current SoCal [ ]...is he going to the A-tier in Penn., is he injured...anybody know?

I don't think Micah or Carlo would have a problem recovering...It might be a cost vs. payout thing.

Right right; I forgot about Carlo Pelg, I'm used to seeing him at all the big meets, too, but I'm not buying that last part, for at least these three reasons: The added cash is somewhere between a lot and a scad; it's the biggest meet [for males] that weekend outside of Pennsylvania; it's the Champs, as in CHAMPIONSHIP...of your chosen sport...where you live...that's got to mean something to the top tops in any sport, and from grade school to the Olympics.

...the only logical reason is they're going to be married, or out-of-the-country, or having surgery, or something else serving God/Family/Country, which has been planned since before the schedule came out. :o

Theres no specific reasons why Carlo wont be there I know he was planning on it just like i was but when the tournament fills up with 10 AM divisions it makes it hard for pros to get in when theyre fighting for the same spots if SoCam cared about pros they would have made it two seperate weekends like they usually do or even limiting the field equally could have worked but no here at SoCam its all about the amateur and getting rid of more Innova plastic so if youre an am and need more frisbees make sure to play in as many events as you can here in the am capital of the world and if youre a pro move to Norcal and throw DISCRAFT!!!

The announcement the tourney was full was made on Sept. 19th.

I wish this was a happier 'welcome to the board', Chris, but what was stopping you in those SIX weeks?!? "Filling up too soon" is obviously not the real reason.

* no doubt, the tourney date was set and known far ahead of this.

Sep 22 2004, 09:57 AM
If there are the usual 36 holes at the SoCal Champs La Mirada layout, then why is there a 144 player limit?
At the Golden State earlier this year, a pro-only event, they went to ghost cards in order to accomodate more than 5 players per hole. And now, a strict 4 player-per-hole limit is being enforced? The pros in the NT had to deal with ghost cards but the ams in this tournament have the luxury of foursomes.
In response to the high demand this year, the tournament should go to 5-somes. Are they really going to tell Bobby Musick he cant play in this tournament?

ANHYZER
Sep 22 2004, 11:57 AM
Are they going to let Bobby Musick in?...If so then you have to let in Carlo (I talked to him yesterday and he wanted to play, but didn't sign up in time),Chris Vilmorin and the rest of the procrastinating pros.

Sep 22 2004, 12:36 PM
Hey, it's Wednesday. This took longer than I expected. :)

Check the stats from last year. We had separate weekends and only had 80 ams and 77 pros. That doesn't justify separate weekends. We also only had 52 pros signed up by Saturday's mail delivery. I think a single weekend was the right choice.

Also, I don't quite understanding how signing up the people who indicated they wanted to play the tournament by senting in their entry forms is anti-pro. ??? ??? Should I turn down the people who want to play on the off chance and pure hope that other people might sign up at the last second? Sorry. If you want to take that as me out to get you, then so be it. But if you had sent in an entry last week you would be in right now. If there was something pending that prevented you from committing until 4 days before the tourney, then I am sorry but that's life.

BTW, separate weekends are a lot of work. If some of you would like to see the SoCal Championships return to 2 weekends next year, I would suggest you contact the new BOD after next month and volunteer to help make it happen.

Rhett I think you did things the right way. I'm playing Pro I got the flyer in the mail it said that were spots reserved for socal members which includes pros till some date in August. I sent my entry in before that date and low and behold I got in. Anyone who was dumb enough not to sign up till september took their chances not getiing in and have nobody to blame but themselves. That being said I wish the pro feild was bigger but It's wrong to turn Am players down in the hopes procrastinating pros will sign up the day of the event. Rhett, Mike Williams and te L.M.D.G.C. thankxs for all your hard work putting this event together, I'm ready to have a funky good time this weekend.

Heres an idea Rhett. 52 pros, thats 13 pro foursomes. Let in 13 more pros to make those fivesomes. That way the precious ams will not be subjected to the horrible inconvenience of playing in a fivesome. Only the pros, who will be happy to see more money in the purse.
The top 4 finishers from last years tournament are all being excluded at this point; shouldn't you take some action to rectify the situation?
You might say something like "I don't tell you how to run tournaments," to which I would respond "I would never limit a field to foursomes."

As per the poster making the Golden State reference: The ghost cards were only possible due to the extra lenght [2 drives] of some of the holes.

I don't need to run for office, I'm supporting Suzette.

Rhett did what was necessary to keep things running. I wasn't complaining about how he runs things, I don't personally have that much adversity to it. However, someone who has a different set of skills is now needed. We need a voice to represent us, as SoCal. I don't know that Rhett speaks for the majority of SoCal golfers on some of his decisions. But he was the only one willing to take on a dying ship, and for that I am grateful. He kept us alive, now it's time to breathe on our own and start moving forward.

Let me say that again: No one is being "excluded" from this tournament. We are full.

Everyone, and I mean every single disc golfer in the entire world, had a chance to enter this tournament.

[neck extended prone on cutting-board sound here] er, is that a problem because it's last-minute, and harried, or because it keeps the TD in the dark on things like # of trophies to order? See, I've got the notion it's a last-minute AMs-registry which would create the hair-pulling; "extra" cash from Pro entries can easily be distributed, but too few, or too many prizes for the junior circuit, and one's really inconvenienced.

on the contrary....it seems like socal and san diego events have to CREATE waiting lists of ams who want to play the event and who register early and most times they either don't get to play or have to wait until the last minute to see if they are playing....whereas "mr. pro" just shows up saturday and EXPECTS to get in because he is "mr. pro"

i say whoever signs up AND PAYS!! first gets in until you reach the max number of people stated on the flyer.....
if it means you are full with 143 ams and 1 pro player then so be it...you'll know how many trophies/prizes/players packs you'll need because people (GASPING HERE!!) pre-registered and paid you money....before the event started...

oh the horrors of having cards ready, hole assignments done, ratings checked, current pdga status checked, and just sitting back waiting for people to check-in(that are already registered)....the pain would just be too much to bear!

so glad i won't be td'ing another event until i'm the socal president....when i am then everyone could see how to put a foot down and make it right for people that sign up early or on time!

i guarantee it would only take 1 or 2 events missed by the "mr. pro players" before they would either
A)have you killed
B)have you killed "accidentally"
C)whine about the fact they missed 2 events before they kill you...or
D) sign up on time like the adults they are supposed to be

the nt's work this way...they hold them spots until "X" day and then anybody with cash is in...if they don't sign up they don't get in...what a stupid concept

just my opinion....

One division race I haven't mentioned...MA1.
MPO and FPO are the glamour divisions, but I find this the most interesting...it's the best of 'regular joes', PLUS, the winner has the stigma of 'moving up' next year! Can you say 'sandbagger'? Sure, if you're jealous of talent :o!!!

26 entrants, meaning the winner will likely get [something like] 10 participation, 25 performance, and 10 bonus points, and yes that last one is a guess...totaling 45 points. The current top 6 competitors all figured out how to use a mailbox, or had help, and got in the Final.

In Sixth[5t], unlike the other 5, Chuck Powell has played but 3 SoCal Series events so far...no 'substituting' for lower scores, only adding to the present sum...that means a win here, plus his present 132 would leave him 2 points shy of the current second-place total. An extra cancellation/entry, an extra place 'paid', and there you go.

In Fifth[t], Tom LaTorre has a low one to lose, 17; replace that with my hypothetical 45, and he could vault into Third.

In Fourth, Brent Hutchings is looking to drop a 27...a sum he totaled three different occasions this season[!]...a win could also garner him Third.

In Third, Tom Olson wants to shrug a 29. Sixteen more points won't catch Second...it looks like quite a battle for the 'bronze' spot!

In Second, Miguel Ramos can improve on a low-35 by about 10 points, leading to a sum which is one point more than the total of current leader

Randy Waite, who's fourth-highest score is also 35...a solid score. To score 35 or less this weekend would only take a Sixth, or lower placing.

Meaning: Miguel must outdistance Randy by just 5 places to have a chance. At Santa Maria, which competition Miguel won in a field of 33, Randy was 13[t]th. So it's not official, yet! ;)

Hey keith,

Yes that Chris Vilmorin post is pretty spiteful.

A better approach for all the disaffected pros from San Diego that seem to feel so discriminated against might be to contact Discraft for some sponsorship, and then for those pros to put on the killer tourney that they all seem to want. I can't think of a better way to really show "SoCam" how things should be done.

But please at least make it PDGA sanctioned.

In more concrete terms, payout is close to 100% of actual entry fees (minus the PDGA $3 a head) across the board. Add in player pack and trophies for event value. Add lunch for true event value.

Plus we're going to have a pretty cool CTP on Sunday.

It should be a lot of fun. And 4-somes to keep things moving nicely on the course.

Be sure to thank the SoCal members you know and especially the TDs of the SoCal Series tournaments this year. Membership fees and series fees are what make this tournament possible. So thank you for the support all year!

I have one last framed photo of a basket at La Ma to raffle off for the Animazonia Wildlife Foundation as well. Tickets are $1 for one and $5 for 6 tickets. But since this is the last tournament of the season, 100% of all monies received will go towards purchasing tents for their annual picnic. (You do not need to be present to win as long as your phone no. or e-mail address is on your ticket.)

A HUGE THANK YOU to Tim and Innova for letting them/us use their tents for the past 3 or 4 years!!! :D

A HUGE THANK YOU to those members who have supported my fundraising for Animazonia throughout the year as well. You guys and gals ROCK!! I couldn't have done this without your help and I'm glad you enjoy the photo!! :D

Absolutely! I'll even cut the price to $10 for an UNFRAMED one. I'll try to print some up tonight but if I can't get to it, I'll have to mail it to you. Just provide me with your mailng address and I'll pay for shipping it. If you would please go to my website and click on the "contact michelle" link and send me your name and mailing address, I'll get it out to you next week, if not tomorrow. But I'll need to collect the $10 this weekend. On behalf of Animazonia, we all thank you!!!

I found these tents that are not only bigger but come with an insect net, AND are 8 feet bigger than the ones we were originally looking at. It was a great find! :D

I am sure they will all be at USDGC. The course was made small for speed of play and a big track event on the same weekend. The tee area is sidewalk teepad or natural meaning nothing. We have flypads here in socal but why bring them out for the championship? This is no warmup for USDGC it is a cooldown.I am going to big D in the desert tonight.

Verily; thanks Family Stroh! It was amazing the amount of prizes given away! 36 CPTs! And the trophys were gorgeous!!
As usual for these Champs, Eldo seemed to take away a disproportionate amount of honors...Congrats to Billy Henley and Pat Sweeney for Series wins; Pat, Mike Hall, and Tracey Thorpe [her first!] also took event first-places. Pat averaged a 1002 rating for the four rounds...well above his average...for this year. ;)

Ryan, nice to finally meet you!

Steve, nice to finally meet you! I didn't put 2+2 together 'till later, tearing apart the teesignage; that was YOU on the video of that ace on #10! 2003 PDGA volunteer of the year, too...coulda/shoulda guessed! :D

Oh the plane da plane... I mean "da pain da pain". That sure smarted when it happened! But thanks to Freddie and the golf cart for holes 17-3, I was able to finish the round. Freddie also got me an ice cream bar to hold against the injury as we had no ice. How sweet was that!!!??? A HUGE thanks to Steve Goodie who caddied for me, drove me home, got me ice, and provided us laughs in between waits, etc. He's not only a sweetheart and a good friend, but is a comic as well. His site is www.stevegoodie.com (http://www.stevegoodie.com) if you want to check out his wackiness! (I did the photos of him on his "schedule" link as well). But between Freddie and Steve, I was feelin' the love. I was having such a good time with Tita, Suzette and Emina as well. Thanks for the laughs ladies!! I'm sorry I wasn't able to finish the 2nd round but the upcoming hills were just not condusive to a twisted ankle. :(

I was quite surprised that I felt so bad for Michelle.

She rolled her ankle on what I believe was her 1st hole of the tourney. She toughed it out and "walked it off", or "rode it off" :), to finish the first round. I was worried that the lunch break would see it swell and stiffen up, and apparently that's what happened.

Even though there have been some heated exchanges on this thread, injury sucks and I would never wish it on anyone. Heal fast so you can give some other TDs a hard time, ok? :)

And please ignore the flame-bait poster trying to stir it up on this thread. The Championships kicked butt and we don't need to finish it off with more grief. Ignore him. Please.

TDs Tourney Recap:

I want to thank everyone for coming out to the SoCal Championships. I think everything went pretty smoothly, all things considered. The cross country meet was unfortunate. It's a good thing we waited until they were done Saturday because they had a lot of spectators right in the middle of the course. It all worked out fine.

I want to thank all the gracious players who have been playing the SoCal Series for the last few years. I know it's time for me to step away because the voices of the complainers are coming through the loudest for me these days. That's not fair to all y'all who have always been great. I had blow off some steam to start the players meeting because Friday and Saturday morning were a political pain, and I don't regret a thing I said. I just want to add that I know the vast majority of y'all have been wonderful. Please don't think my comments were aimed at you unless you were doing the things I addressed. :) I appreciate all the support I've received from the golfers in SoCal. So again, please don't think I have assumed you to be a pain. For the most part it's been a fun ride, but my time has come. So to all you great golfers: thanks! And please support the new BOD like you have supported me.

I had a good time getting the Championships together. It's fun to be able to put together great player packs and trophies. It's also fun to be able to do a good payout. All payouts were well over 150% for all divisions according to the PDGA calculations. All pro divisions were over 90% actual payout versus entry fees and Am divisions were well over 100% retail versus entry fees. I've always felt that the focus of SoCal should be to make the Championships/Final as good as they can be, and that's where all the player fees and membership fees are focused. And the money from those fees sure make it easier to plan a tourney. :)

Thanks to all the SoCal Series TDs for making the series and the Championships possible. Thanks also to all the players who have filled the SoCal Series tourneys and come out to play. We had 9 events this year, and the SoCal BOD only had to run one of them. Of those 9 events, pros were able to play all 9 and the ams were able to play 8. I was worried that we might only have 4 events this years, so thanks again to all the TDs who stepped up to make the tourneys happen, and all the people who stepped up to help them. Let's keep this thing going in 2005. :)

Thanks again to (almost) all!

Rhett in SoCal

Thanks to all the people who helped. It felt like the old days with crews checking scores, other crews putting them on the boards, and two of us in the trailer putting scores into the computer. After Saturday morning finally passed, it was a lot of fun putting this tourney on!

That's why I recommend everyone pick one tourney to help make better, and do everything you can for that tourney. It really is a lot of fun (but still a lot of work) when you have a good crew all pitching in. Thanks everybody.
