this guy on the forum calling himself zildjian asked to buy a couple ce rocs from me. [traders row thread] he said he was new at this and asked how it worked. he was prompt in corresponding with me and polite. he claimed to have sent the $--, and since we had a good raport--i foolishly sent the discs. a month and a half has gone by and no sign of anything and he will not return my pm's. you live and learn i guess. i have done many trades with folks i have met here and never had a problem. i am out 2 04 ce rocs. anyone know "zildjan"? i sent them to brad rogers in lake oswego or. i tried getting his # thru 411, and writing him a letter to the same address i sent the discs to. i hope i am wrong. any insight?

Man, that sucks. You think that you can trust people.
I guess from now on, you should hold on to the discs until you can smell the cash.
Ouch! Maybe we can get some honest Oregon golfers to go by that address and beat the tar outta that deadbeat!! Oh, and Happy B-Day Kid Roc!
Try tracking him down at www.odsa.org (http://www.odsa.org), I know I've seen him post there.
Good luck.

Do you mean
www.odsa.com (http://www.odsa.com) ??

Just think, he was post whoring here for a while trying to get all the CE plastic he could and talking about all of the stuff he was bidding on through E-Bay. Wonder how many others he screwed????? Sorry to hear about this Steven.......hopefully you'll find him and extract some $$$$$$ from his pocket....If not his ARSE!
I am an honest Oregon golfer.
But I am too weak to kick arse.
I could write a very firm letter though..?
ALWAYS make sure you send through USPS and make sure they send the money order through USPS. That way you can nab his b!tch [*****] on mail fraud if you feel up to it. Been through it on Ebay WAAAAy too many times bro. Sorry to here the bad news.

I have had this happen to me also in the past by another. It sucks that trusting someone sometimes has a downfall. Next time just wait for the $$. That way everybody is happy.

Steve,
Sorry to hear about this guy. I went to whitepages.com and found 13 Rogers listed in Lake Oswego, OR. I don't know the address you sent it to but if one of them matches up, you can call the phone number listed. Just a thought. I'll be in Olympia in a couple of weeks but it's still too far for me to go by and extract a little Coloradan revenge for you. Sorry. Hope to see you out on the course. When are you going to hold a tourney in Telluride?

Krevo is right. I am not sure if a trade is considered commerce but on Ebay the mail fraud angle is true. I had to use it myself a couple of years ago.

I am sre you can get him on failure to follow the obligations of a contract.
He will have to show proof that he sent you the money through the mail.

As for the rest of you peeps that are thinking your so bad behind those keyboards thinking you want to come pay me a visit. Bring it...Im not someone you want to mess with like that. Dude Ziljian, stop flexing your internet muscles and send him his flucking money already.
Everyone knows you're big and strong and stuff...
Additionally, if it were me who got ripped off, I would've robbed your house aloooong time ago.
Forgiven one is totally right, we gotta stick together and defend our own, that's what seperates us from the ball golfers!! :p
Well, what have we learned from all this?
1. Always get cash in hand prior to sending discs.
2. Zildjin is way tough.
3. I am scared of him. :D
Really, you're scared of him?
Why?

I'll be out in Portland in August...don't know where you guys are, but I'll play skins with any of you NorthWesterners....I am not scared. :D

the $ never showed, he will not return my calls. can anyone talk to him and help?
I live in Portland, but I don't know this person. I think if I were in your position, I would post at the forum on odsa.com as well as emailing the owner of the odsa.com site, Jerry Miller. Miller's nickname is "Mentor" for reasons that are obvious if you meet him. He seems to know just about everybody. I think the email address is discgolfdepot@discgolfdepot.com or something. You'll find it on odsa.com. Good luck to you, Stephen.

i guess so-- i am over it it has been so long-- but i posted this as a warning to others. it is just a shame we can not trust everyone on the board despite our similar passion. some folks must be dealing with some serious bad-golf-karma.

"I am now, I came on this morning and saw your post. I had no idea. It seems for the last few weeks I have been coming here, my system did not have me logged in and did not notice, as I never made any posts. Dude I sent that money, I sent a money order for 55.00. I seriously do not know what happend. I will track it down though, as I still have the stub from the money order. I will see what it is I need to do to see if this has been cashed or what happend to it. I promise dude I did send it. If I can not find what happend by tracking that money order and if it has not been cashed by you ( which I do trust you would not have posted what you did if you truely did not get it ) I will send again next week, but this time certified so there is no discrepency the next time. I just want you to know if this is truely my error I will make it up to you. I was and am very greatful you sent to me at such a good deal, I would not have burned you, as 50 bones is not that big of deal to me. Now I am logged in and will make sure I am each time I visit. As for my phone number I have no problem giving this to you as I have nothing to hide feel free to call my at 5038885334. Or I can call you as I have free long distance."
this is what he sent me last. i have called and called and called--his answering machine every time now. [he did answer a while back and said he sent the monewy order]. his name is brad rogers from lake oswego or. his screen name is/was zildjan. maybe he indeed sent the $ to my po box, and the money order did get cashed, but not by me. i am the only one who has a key to my box. i have left messages saying that maybe this did happen, and we could work something out--maybe share the loss---but no response. if anyone knows him---pm me. thanks all. oh yea-this was for a new 04 ce roc [purple, with a red ring of rocs stamp no less] 178, and a 9/10 03 ce roc red with rainbow stamp 180, which had my name on it.

after one week, i pmed, two weeks, pmed.. three weeks pmed- emailed, four weeks...411- got his phone number... called and called, and called... two and a half months later i got three slightly used 10x Rocs...prolly made about 25 phone calls... he is two hours behind us in time zone, so i'm sure those 5 am calls got tiresome!
