Are there any courses in North Vancouver, BC, Canada? I thought I heard rumblings of a course in the area, but a quick search of the database doesn't indicate any such course.
What about West Van?
Thaniks.

Anybody got an opinion on the must-play courses in Vancouver and interior of British Columbia? Which are the world class courses that shouldn't be missed? The ones with pro par four and pro par five holes and/or awesome scenery?
I'm vacationing up there in two weeks. I'll be in Vancouver for a few days and then driving to Banff and back. I'll be staying overnight in Kamloops and Kelowna so I'm sure I'll play those courses, but which others would you recommend?

I really enjoyed playing the Rose Hill course in Kamloops, BC last Wednesday night while on vacation. In the weekly random draw doubles, not only did I beat the locals (thanks to some huge putts from my partner, a ringer from Edmonton) but I had the immense privilege of playing some holes from the new course which John Houck is laying out there. Kamloops is in line for an additional two more 18 hole courses right next to Rose Hill sometime in 2007. One will be a par 66 monster, and the other a par 65. Both were designed by John Houck, who was there for two weeks in early June. Those 2 courses will certainly put Kamloops on the map as a DG destination point.
The terrain is somewhat reminiscent of Flagstaff Arizona, with towering ponderosa pines amidst high elevation grass and a dry desert climate. The course is set on a hill above the town, with vistas of the town and the entire river valley. It's a view to die for! The terrain is very rolling, with a lot of elevation changes. There are plenty of dropoffs around baskets, making for very fast greens, and some deep gullies that are 20-30 meters deep. You don't want to throw your disc in them!
Also, a nearby town south (Logan Lake) will be moving ahead with an 18 basket course too. Reportedly, it will be as good as anything they have here in Kamloops, plus it is right next to a campsite, a ball golf course, a fishing lake and walking distance to the PUB!
