Great discs! :) sore subject :mad: Lost my cherry CE eagle wednesday, It was a little breezy, and my eagle flipped and went into a backyard. Yeah, I could have gone in and got it, but this person doesn't really like the disc golfers going into their backyard! Imagine that, you buy a house next to a park, and the park is used, BY PEOPLE. Anyway, love those discs!
I have a lifetime supply, and will never stop throwing these......ive found that the lightweight ce eagles are more stable than the heavier ones, and they are harder to find. :)

I lost my last ce eagle last summer :( red 163g
This was BY FAR the most stable driver I ever had ... more than any firechicken in any plastic I've ever thrown ... i miss that eagle sooooo bad

Why is it that CE Eagles and CE Leopards are not nearly as popular as Teebirds, Valks and Firebirds?

Ask Hawk! :D
Perhaps it is because CE Eagles are hard to find, but u practically trip over Valks, Firebirds & Teebirds.

What's the difference in the 'E' and 'EL' on CE eagles???
Jake L

E = Eagle
EL = Eagle Less (as in less stable)

EL = Eagle Leopard mold

It's a widespread myth that TLs & ELs are Teebrid (or Eagle) tops coupled to Leopard bottoms. However, it is not correct. the "L" just stands for "less stable", just as the "X" in Whippet WXs & Firebird FXs stands for "Xtra stable".
i think the Ce egl is the best straight line driver out there. The first run red egls are the best. i am currently looking for some first runs.

I have a CE Eagle that I found a year ago. First disc I ever found. I never use it and might be willing to trade.
It is not 'mint' but it's in pretty good shape. If I knew how, I'd post a picture of it. :confused:

how are the new ones different [flight wise] from old ce is the question

Well I'm confused. I thought CE stood for Champion Edition, which is the same as Champion. If not, what is a CE ___ disc. Innova does not list anything as CE, but Champion.
In my experience, the Champion Eagle is much more overstable, like a banshee. It feels like a different mold. With DX and CE eagles, I can get nice long hysers or very nice straight to left shots. I never liked the Champion Eagle. It has less glide and speed with more overstability. The disc does have its uses, just not like any other eagle.
One thing about the Champion Eagle is that it handles headwinds much better then the other eagle molds!

I throw a 172g CE eagle for those long straight distance rollers... I got a hold of a new one and it met some concrete and trees for a lot of one of my rounds and now it rolls really nicely :)
They are nothing like the old CE Eagles. I recomend a Talon!
I have a couple of light blue opaque z talons, but they seem way less overstable than my CE Eagle does. What kind of plastic is your talon in?

drazle:
CE discs were made years ago of a kind of plastic that has been discontinued. It does stand for 'Champion Edition,' but it's not the same plastic as 'Champion' plastic. The plastic was discontinued because it was 'borderline' in terms of stiffness (essentially, almost too stiff) for safety, even though the PDGA approved it.
Over the years, discs made of CE plastic have become rare and are much sought after by many players. The people I know who throw them speak very highly of them and the plastic is very durable and consistent.
If you look on eBay for CE discs, you'll find some selling for as high as $85 or even higher. Generally not Eagles, though, as they are not as sought after as some other models.
I only have one CE disc and at the moment it is too heavy for me. It is an Eagle. I don't have any other Eagles so I can't really make a comparison.
For me, my CE Eagle is overstable, but so are all my heavier (170g +) drivers.

I feel ya, it's confusing the way people refer to them.
But for a quick update; C.E. IS Champion Edition.
This is different from Champion Plastic.
But now with the candy plastice which also comes in "champion" form, it's being called C.E."CANDY EDITION" :confused: :cool:
