CWare, Edman, or any other Round Rockers, do y'all know what this course is looking like right now? The Hitman tried to play it a couple of months ago and said the grass on the fairways of 1 and 2 were taller than the rough. :eek:

Course played awesome, hole 2 under water as well as tee box for #1. We played a shortened #1, then played a temp by the road #2, played old hole #3 and everything else regular. The hike trail is smooth as a baby's ***, but no forms/concrete/asphalt.

I will be going to Rivery this wednesday to make the final call on where tee boxes will be. Let me know what is going on.

not muddy at all. Hole # 1 tee under water basket # 2 under water. Fairway # 7 dead limbs keft side could be moved. At leat 2 people I tried by myself but could not. Need to call Wendys and see if they will tow or not. Talked with some golfers on the course and they said they have parked there 5-6 times with no problems.

This is a sweet course! First time I ever played it. Lots of tight holes...you have to hit your line (or get lucky :p) Not too much of an ego booster for cdub or chile, but I took it to em... :D

Vinnie can get pretty creative with those tee boxes, what you practice today might change by this weekend. I've seen it all when a guy thumbed 16 between the branches, of course he was 30 deep with no putt.

Being my first time out, I dont know what boxes were played in the past, but with the changes going on out there, no telling where Vinnie and Ed will place the tees...

# 10 looks very interesting with the walking trail there now. that hole will have to change after someone gets hit. OUCH

Edman and I spent sometime with Georgetown Parks feller and AMEN....the sidewalk is done!
And now we know the direction of disc golf at Rivery.
The city has blessed us with more land to correct the issue.
The city wants a course in that park and they will do what it takes to make sure that happens.
We are currenty reviewing land on the back of the course. This land looks like a Waco beast with HUGE boulders and a cliff through it. The plan is to have it done before State Doubles.

course update as per Ed Coffey:
"Update on the Rivery- All 18 baskets are still in, the city never pulled them and is very playable, city has been keeping up with it. Except for the red headed step child holes 1 and 2. If you play this course send spotters out on all holes that throw over the path, bikers are rampant out there.
I received approval from the city to redesign 7 holes. We will loose the following holes-1,2,3,10,12,13,and 18. Hole 4 will be #1 and #17 will be eighteen(no over the top shots). Where hole 3 sits now is where the parking lot and restrooms will be. I can't imagine parking and walking 100ft to the first hole, Me and V are starting the redesign today, what an awesome day(sorry Mike). I'll update all early next week. The goal-have the re-design done and playable by TX STATE PRO DUBS." :D

Me and V accomplished what we set out to do on Sat. I don't have a confirmed date on when I meet with the city for the proposal. There is some really cool land out there on the other side of Rivery rd. This little course will lengthen slightly but still be as tight, the best of both worlds. Effie thanks for pulling this thread back up, now stay off it Ware :D

This thread is close enough. Where the hell is Vinnie? Is he OK? I hope all is well with him. Someone needs to get his lame donkey back on the board. :p

all please come help on Monday if you can we will be meeting at Rivery hole # 4 at 9:00am. bring some gloves and your discs as we will play a round after lunch. Also the gate will be unlocked so if you are coming out to help you can open the gate drive in close the gate (dont lock) and drive down to the bottom of the hill. Hope to see some folks help want to get Rivery back into playing shape for the upcoming events. I will bring some beer for the workers!!!
