I am currently planning a weekend trip that will go through Minnesota, Wisconson, Illinois and Iowa. I wanted to know what courses I should make sure I get to while traveling. Please help me.
Idlewild in northern Kentucky. greater Cincinnati area. pro par 72. okay, it isn't one of the states you mentioned, but... http://www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com/courses/idlewild.htm

If you're on I-90, you have to hit Todd Park in Austin, MN. Also just off I-90, Bear Cave Park in Stewartville is another sweet course. Minnesota Disc Golf Course Locator (http://www.spacestar.net/users/bogie6/metro.html)

If you find yourself on I90/94 near Madison, WI check out Hiestand Park. It's a short distance from the interstate on the east side. There is also Token Creek on the north side of Madison. It's just off the interstate too. It's P2P but they say it's worth the $4. Pins just went back in the ground yesterday.
When you're done in Madison and headed for flat land country try Lustig Park in Janesville. Not real close to the interstate but still worth the 10 minute drive.

If you're looping through Chicago and going back to Iowa on I-80, check out the new course in Mokena.
If your going through Wisconsin, you have to swing through Stevens Point. Some of if not the best disc golf in Wisconsin I feel. Theres a reason why Barry Schultz lives there..

I haven't played them yet, but North Valley (ironically on the south side of St. Paul) and Kaposia in the Twin Cities are apparently pretty good.

North valley and Kaposia have changed since their Worlds 'glory days' a few years ago. North Valley is still solid but the fun lower holes with the swamp crossing are gone until the county completes a water quality project in a few years. It's still 18 though.
The baskets are currently out of the ground at Kaposia during the annual spring erosion reduction timeout. Usually they are back in by Memorial Day but it depends on how quickly volunteer projects get completed. There are some nice new holes since Worlds and the course will hopefully get back to 24. A walking path project will require some holes and course routing to change a little bit and the final plan isn't confirmed yet.
