What in your opinion is the most overstable putter on the market? I know that the E-Wizard is pretty stable, and I've noticed the same for a Ryhno. What else meets the mark?

Rhyno
Challenger
Magnet
Wizard

Those are probably the most overstable putters I've thrown.

Crystal Clear Z Challenger. I can throw mine on a high anhyzer and it will S out. NOW THAT IS STABLE i would almost consider this and OVERSTABLE putter. Most putters are just Stable this is OVERSTABLE for a putter to say the least. Then the Cam Todd D challengers then the Pro D Challengers then the First Run Challengers then the World Doubles Z Challengers Then the regular X Challengers

BB Aviars are stable and Ten and 11 Time aviars. If you like Innova that is. But NOTHING is as stable as the Crystals

Steve Mills, have you ever thrown a pirahna? Have you seen one? They fly like a cup. That's probably why they were discontinued.

Mar 31 2004, 03:51 PM
A cup? I have a few Pirahna's. I dont throw them anymore, but I did like em'!

Remember Kirk Temple out of Charlotte? That boy worked a Pirahna better then anyone I had ever seen!! Throwing them with mad D, and serious control! Wish he would come back and play more! He's a trip!

I spent all last night working on my car. I must have hit my head.

We got Jim Myers to try to throw a pirahna 300ft. He couldn't do it. It was funny.

I said cup. Cups don't fly.

Perhaps it has a lot to do with the question that you were replying to.

The Champion Whippet is the most overstable putter that I know of.

Mar 31 2004, 04:56 PM
Whippet is not a putter.

Mar 31 2004, 06:29 PM
ANY disc you putt with is a putter!!!!!!

Better tell that to Innova & Discraft & Gateway they name specific discs as putters on their webstes..... whippet isn't one of them......

OK, back to reality, YES any disc you putt with is a putter, but I dont think that drivers and mids were the types of discs intended by the author of this thread.

Personally I love the Rhyno for long putts that I dont want to turn over. Anything (somewhat open) under 80 ft I always pull out my rhyno. It's really reliable in the wind too.

hope that helps you to decide. :D

The Pro Soft Ryhno is what you want. Same stablity as the Champion Ryhno with a great feel and grip. It is also softer then a JK Aviar but not floppy like an Omega SS. They fly straight as an arrow when thrown flat and hard with a good snap. I use mine for short drives, long approaches and putts in the wind. I just got a Champion one it flys the same but doesnt grab the chains as well or feel as good in your hand, but it is overstable. I don't think Discraft copied this disc yet so Innova has this on them, it might be becuase the patent didn't expire on the thumbtrac yet???
Cheers,
Matt

Just a general question...why do you guys want overstable putters? To putt with or to approach/drive with? Personally if it is a calm wind day I want to putt with the most understable disc that just falls straight into the chains, like the 86 Softie or Aero. But I can see the need for a overstable putter in the wind or if you are throwing them very hard at the basket. I guess the real question is what is considered a PUTT? I think the 10x KC Aviar answers the question by saying Short Range Driver...not putt and approach.......

Photon UV Challenger: great for hyzer and "S" putts, hyzer approaches, and straight to hyzer drives.

Mar 31 2004, 08:37 PM
the pirahna is the most overstable putter, whether others think that or not does not really mean much because it is the most overstable putter. :D

I don't think they have made these for a few years now. You can find them on eBay once in a while, at an affordable price.

Or you could bother me to sell some of mine. I sell three every 3 years. The most I've ever gotten is $125.

CryZtal Z Challenger is STOOPID overstable. I don't even use one as I have no need for that type of putter over-stability.

Pimp you are letting us down... 300 with a putter is pretty short for message board D especially from you! We all know you could easily break the long distance record if you had the right tail wind.

I dont speak in message board D. Plus i can control these out to about 300 and if im in a open field then i can really pump them :D

The Pirahna is less stable than the z challenger but both are less stable than a rhyno!!!!!!!!!! You say you already throw the rhyno for upshots etc. so look no further for a stable putter!!!!!!!!
