After three years of playing I finally got a witnesed one. 173-4 Holiday X Buzzz, #4 at the USF course. An anhyzer that flexed just enough. My first ace ever (unwitnessed) was a few months after I started. A WOLF! (that I found) on a pure anhyzer when I was expecting a hyzer!

I always tell people that it reminded me of a jet landing on an aircraft carrier. No power, falling out of the sky and barely making it over the rim.
Skip Ace with a 167g JK Valkyrie. I had been playing three months.
My first ace was with a Millennium Aurora MS on a short wooded hole in Delaware, OH. Alas, there was nobody with me to witness it. About a week later, I was playing with a friend and aced the same hole with the same disc -- instant replay! Then in our very next round that afternoon, I aced another hole with the same disc. Since then, have never hit another ace...

I bought a brand new SE Leopard @ club night 2002 and on the 1st tee @ Oak Park in Wichita, KS I hit my 1st ace ace with the 1st throw of the new disc. It was also the 1st ace of the new pin placement. Hole had been deemed an impossible ace, a totally blind shot with the basket 40 ft into the woods, protected by lots of trees & in the front of the basket was by a huge evergreen tree, I hit a gap up high right in the tree canopy. Next thing we heard was chains.

My first 4 aces were all in 1 week. I had been playing for about 15 moths and finally hit my first one (Roc). Then 15 minutes later, hit another one (with a different Roc). The next day I hit another one (Firebird). Then 5 days later, I hit yet another ace (with another Roc).
Good times.
First ace was with a 165g Cyclone on a 280ft down hill hole (was only my sixth time playing). Great way to hook one in to a sport for life.
I just got my second ace ever, three weeks ago at Richlands hole #4 189ft using a brand new Xs (I got the day before) in extreme wind.

Wow, I really can't remember my first ace. It's not that I've had so many (I haven't), but it was quite some time ago.
I can tell you that the last one was with a 170something Gateway Wizard (stiff) on my home course.
I can recall my two tournament aces, both were with Rocs. One was at Griffin Park in Bowling Green and the second was in the 1993 PDGA Worlds, Hole #7 at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The Worlds Ace Disc has been retired.

If i'm ever going to get an ace, its prolly going to be with my trusty 11x Teebird... i've come close twice, one time it hit chain from about 300 and another it rimmed around and came out...i've been playing for close to 2 years... will i ever get one? another quick question... for those of you who have gotten aces, do you intentionally go for the ace or was it luck? i find myself playing too conservative; trying to land just under the basket for an easy birdie. this is my year for an ace!

Depends on the hole layout I guess. If an overthrown shot isnt going to cost me, like going into water, ob, or give me a horrible lye, then i gotta go for it. Its especially nice to go for it when there are trees that can act as backstops, up in new england we get a lot wooded courses so it really just depends where i am, the hole itself, and whether or not its a tournament or something like that which would make me play conservatively.

72 Aces, and only 3 PDGA recorded aces.

Just got my first ACE, Saturday at Sedgley Woods in Philadelphia, Hole #1 Red Tee 313ft with a 167 ProLine Firebird. Threw a low anhyzer that flexed just at the right time into the chains...it was really sweet.

last week i threw a pro cheetah into the chains at heritage park in adrian michigan for my first ace but bam it bounced right out so I am still chasing my first official ace
First Ace was on Jan. 1 on hole #13 at Seymore Smith in Omaha. Floated in a 150 Champion Valk. For a somewhat short hole, it had a nice s-curve around trees and went right in. This came about 8 months after i started.
Just got a second ace about 2 weeks ago at Cunningham, nice right hook into the hidden basket (behind a pine tree) with a 173 Lightning #1 Helix. 2 aces within 1 year from when I started, definately looking to get more this summer.

i hit my 3rd and 4th aces with my trusty first run z-wasp on the 17th during the same round! (no april fools joke)

Hi Joel, I've played Seymore Smith and Cunningham in Tournaments before. They are very different courses but a lot of fun. Congrats on the Aces! Are you going to attend A Call To Arms tournament this Fall?

Cool............my first ace was also with a Whamo. We were kids playing object golf. It was about 200 feet or so. Throwing across the street just around the corner in the neighborhood.
Didn't know baskets existed until 1976. I still have my Night Flyers and a few mint Midnight Fliers. I have a few aces with those beautiful Glow disc's. I have a few aces with the Heavy version of the Glow disc called the Brand X from Victor Malafronte. These were all in the late 70's. :D

Hole #6 Knob Hill park 1994 with a 175 gram POLECAT. I got so sick of that thing rolling away on missed putts that I gave the disc away a few weeks later. Last ace was with an old mold hammer a few months ago. Unfortunately that disc was lost a few weeks ago :( higher flyers stamp :(
I would really like to. I have a lot of work to do on my game as far as consistency. I need to play a lot to get a bit better before I want to do a tourny. Might switch my work schedule soon so I could come do the Thursday night doubles at Seymore.

First ace was with a pro-model in 74. Telephone pole across the street from my school bud's house back then we didn't have baskets.
First basket ( Pole Hole) ace was in 77-78. Was with a Night Flyer. This disc was made by Whamo for DGA at the time. 168grams and it glowed. It had a nice turn to it. Had to throw with Hyzer. Man............how old am I ? Have I really been playing for 30 years ? :p :D
First ace was with a Cyclone 2, hole #8 at ECU, Greenville, NC

My first ace came at the mighty Z Boaz, on hole number eighteen, on the short tee. The disc was a pretty much worn in but not yet overly beaten KC Pro Roc. Eighteen here isn't a tremendous length by any means; it's the definition of the classic pick up birdie hole, with a creek infront of you and a plethora of angry tree branches ready to reject your offerings at the slightest miscalculation. But you have to keep it low and straight... and brother, I mean low and straight. Especially if you are a leftie. Oh, sure, some of my rightie bros can use a pretty nice line, in fact I've seen two quite nonchelaunt(sp?) aces on it. But hey, I suck.
Anywho, a slight hyzer on it kept it nice and flat, with no where to go but right at the pole. Wu said"It's in." quite plainly, and lo and behold a white boy gets his wish.
- a week ago I hit the goddamn basket, two inches below the chains. Feh. Nice bird tho :)

A Blue 2001 Pro Worlds Stamped Discraft XL- The Next 5 were also with Xl's, an Orange one.
NEW QUESTION POSSIBILITY: What disc do you have the MOST aces with:
MRV- short holes from 180 to 275. I had one winter carnival with 9 aces. A 9-time MRV. I had another identical MRV with 4. A close second is the Buzz, with 3 aces.
173 Pro-Line Gremlin Hole #5 Robert Morris Park, Memorial Day 2003. 2nd Ace was Hole #16 at Knowllwood Park at The Ace Race Nov 29, 2003 for $210.00!!! with a 171 Pro-Line Gremlin. I lost the one I used for the 1st Ace. Kinda embarrising but it took me 10 years until I got an ace in a basket. I got my first object course ace a couple of months after I started playing.
