It's a fact! Last week Binky took money in a putting competition, and yesterday he was seen knocking down birdies with my Z-Wasp at the ALMIGHTY Z-Boaz! He also won the Veteran's mini.....what's up with that?

If you knew who we are talking about you would be amazed. It is all true.

I told him he was gonna have to pass that name along to someone more deserving of it. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Throwing a Z-Wasp?????????????????? /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

There is no other golfer more deserving of that name in this game. Him making $$ in a putting contest is truly the BLIND SQUIRREL finding the nut. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif/msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif/msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

He not only won the mini at Vets, but I think he dominated the Mighty Z also. Played with him all day and didn't see a noputtingsavage at all. Time for a new name!

His virgin Z-wasp throw was a birdie park job on #9 at Z.

Jan 07 2003, 01:55 PM
While you were paying attention to Teba he missed at least 5 puts in the morning and 5 in the afternoon all inside of 30'. The name was self given and I think it should stand, I have been watching him miss puts for over 10 years.

Jan 07 2003, 04:37 PM
The thing is that most people wouldn't even have 30' puts on some holes, but his arm gets him there. So he's having more opportunities to miss putts in general. On Sunday I was the true noputtingsavage with serious leftitous.

I feel Craig's pain and we would never make a good doubles team. I do wish I could throw a Aviar 400 feet in a headwind however.

Yo Binky,

You up for another run at Dubs this year? Return of Team Craig? Drop me a line. (I thought you were moving to Atlanta?)

First of all, the name was givin to me by Mike Sayre! I miss my birdie putts alot, more than the 10 years you speak of Brian.

As for the Z-Wasp, I can't get any CE Rocs at this time, besides the Wasp is nothing more than a copy cat of a Roc!

Craiger, I'am moving to Atlanta in the first week of March. I don't know if I will want to come all the way back to play doubles. Too much to do like learn all the dinker courses in my new home town. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Jan 09 2003, 10:47 AM
That's not fair, nps. When you can throw a putter 500 feet, they're all dinker courses. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Hope we get to play a round before your move to the deep south, bud.

The name still applies boys! It just doesn't happen as often because this is a sport I don't play very much anymore.

Maceman gave me this nickname like over 10 years ago.

I didn't realize how old the thread was and I was looking at his 1000 rated times, and how he's been consistently 980+ for half a decade. Was like WOW this guy can't putt and he's been over 1000??? ... and then I get to the end and realize just how old the thread was. :X

I think " 'bumping' of old threads for no reason' must be code for something else, like, bumping old player hating threads so you can stir up some player hating without posting any player hating yourself, or bumping old PDGA hating threads for the same reason. As soon as they published that rule I went looking for an old thread and bumped it and I got no reaction. Does bumping old threads for no reason actually harm the message board? Is bumping old threads for a good reason less harmful to the message board? Obviously it is not about harming the message board or old threads would simply be deleted or disabled when they reached the harmful age. Its about throwing sticks at wasp nests. No throwing sticks at wasp nests.

Yeah, it's much better to just try to cover it up and hope nobody else gets stung :p

This was one of the oldest threads not posted on. I was just reading some old threads and saw who posted on this thread and thought it was funny.

Now maybe I should pull up some old [censored] Threads, that might get me banned. :D

United Disc Golf as one word, that is too funny :D

------- ---- ---- as one word, that is too funny :D

Now you're living on the ragged edge, violating Message Board Rule #1 by separating that into three words to avoid the censor:

"PDGA Discussion Board Rules - The following will not be allowed:
1. Profanity (including creative misspellings to circumvent the profanity filter)"

I'm not sure why there's the confusion on this? Bumping of old threads for no reason is just exactly that. On several occasions we have had message board users go into Affiliate Club and other sub forums and, in the span of a few minutes, bring up several dozen threads that were 2-5 years old. The user typically posted one word or nonsense letters which had absolutely nothing to do with the thread and was done strictly just to push active threads off the first page. Message board users and members of that Affiliate club then complained because we had very old and sometimes misleading (example: "Doubles tournament this weekend!") information at the top of their Affiliate Club page, and active threads pushed off to page 2. It was completely obvious that these actions were performed solely to be belligerent and to disrupt normal performance of the message board.

Does occasionally bringing back an old thread such as this violate PDGA DISCussion board rules? No. But 'flooding' the message board with bumps as described before and similar belligerent behavior which generates complaints from other message board users may get you a warning, probation, suspension, etc.

So bumping threads for no reason means bumping threads for the reason that we're trying to bury some other thread? I knew it was code words for something. Now where did I leave my wasp nest poking stick?

Maybe HQ can come up with some kind of official "Dangerous Situation Eradication" policy? But then they would have to officially declare that there is a problem...
