Some friends and I have gotten into playing night golf. It is so much fun and the other night we were playing Vets and decided to change it up a bit. We played it like this.
normal hole 1. (par 3)
Tee 2 to basket 3. (par 5)
Tee 4 to basket 5. (par 5)
6 to 7. (par 5)
8 to 9 (par 5)
10 to 11 (very hard par 5)
normal 12 (par 3)
13 to 14 (par 5)
15 to 16 (par 3)
17 to 18 (par 5)

It ends up being a par 44. Some of those are 600-700 ft. and tight. I love playing it like this. The only problem is you have to play it at night (with lights of course) or you will lose a lot of discs.

???you got the little LED lites from acadamy???
fishing dept. nite bober lites, 2.50 each.
you should NOT be able to lose them.

we play at round rock so it's more open, but have played at circle r(rolling meadows) and had a blast with them.

have fun and MERRY X-MAS!

I said you have to play at night with the lights, meaning, you can't play it in the day time b/c lights don't do you any good then and you will lose discs throwing so many blind shots.

sounds like fun, although a bit cold.

does the night time add a stroke to most of the holes? daytime pars would seem like they should be:

normal hole 1. (par 3)
Tee 2 to basket 3. (par 4)
Tee 4 to basket 5. (par 4)
6 to 7. (par 4) , maybe even 3
8 to 9 (par 4) , maybe par 3
10 to 11 (very hard par 5)
normal 12 (par 3)
13 to 14 (par 4)
15 to 16 (par 3)
17 to 18 (par 4)

We play Glow stick in Lubbock often. We also put the large chem sticks(6") on the baskets. Gives you a good line to shoot for. Bobber lights and basket sticks are the only way to go, IMO. Merry Christmas to all of my DG friends in the Metroplex!

shoot, if you can get a 4 from tee 2 to basket 3, you deserve a birdie! and in the daytime, you are just asking for lost discs

a long straight shot up the pipeline, past #2 basket. that takes ya almost to the normal tee for 3. then a crunch out around the bend up 3's fairway. then an approach shot and a putt. par 4.

Actually, several of us ADGAer's have three'd Hole #2 pad to #3's basket. It's a fun course to play that way. Try playing the course backwards. From #18's basket to #17's basket. Then #17's basket to #16's basket. So on and so on. That's a really fun round!
