I am pleased to announce another new course in Central New York. So far 5 baskets have been installed at Jamesville Beach. We hope to raise enough $ to complete the front nine this year. By next year we hope to have 18 baskets.
It should be listed in the directory soon as I submitted the description into the directory.
A big thanks to all involved in the 2 year project by the Central New York Disc Golf Association.
Thanks to Bill Jones for the proposal that he never gave up on. Thanks to Leiko Benson for the courage in moving the idea forward and securing matching funds for the first 5 baskets. This was the seed we needed to make it a reality. Thanks to Bill G for keeping the fire burning after Leiko's untimely departure.
Thanks to those who helped me with the design, including Bill Jones, Roman Bednarek and Sam Meggs. Also those who helped on the install, including Bill, Bill, Roman, Bob and Dan.
This course will be enjoyable and challenging to play.

Better ask LaGrassa, Binghamton is about 2 miles from Pennsylvania. Nothing on this side of the NY/PA line except maybe Corning. Call Hank Foss for Corning.

There is now a temporary 9-hole course on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. The Palmer Woods Disc Golf Course plays near the 'A' Lot parking lot and across the street from the bolf course. It was made available through the efforts of the local club, (DiscIthaca) Pat Govang, Andrea Dutcher (Director of Recreations Services) and Dennis Osika. (Director of University Grounds Department)

<table border="1"><tr><td> Hole #</td><td>1</td><td>2</td><td>3</td><td>4</td><td>5</td><td>6</td><td>7</td><td>8</td><td>9</td><td>total
</td></tr><tr><td>Red Tee</td><td>365</td><td>265</td><td>295</td><td>330</td><td>315</td><td>275</td><td>275</td><td>225</td><td>240</td><td>2585
</td></tr><tr><td>Blue Tee</td><td>410</td><td>320</td><td>355</td><td>330</td><td>360</td><td>315</td><td>345</td><td>225</td><td>310</td><td>2970
</td></tr><tr><td> </tr></td></table>

The course plays mostly in the open and over huge elevation changes. From the Blue tees, holes 2,3 and 4 play as cross valley shots from one hilltop to another hilltop - these are spectacular holes!

We hope that you enjoy the course and request that you will support the efforts to have permanent courses installed. Please visit http://www.discithaca.com to pledge your support.

Great job on things up there... used to live in Syracuse (never having played DG). Moved to Charlotte where I have a 3 hole course in my neighborhood (along with the 17+ in the area including the USDGC) and now I'm hooked.

Just curious but why dont you guys (CNYDG) not have your own section in the 'PDGA Affiliate Clubs' portion of the message board like other clubs? It would be cool to keep up on whats going on and know if/when you have some tournies (even small & non-pdga) coming up. (snowshoe disc golf?!) :p

Hats off to you and everyone that puts as much as you do into this sport. I thank you!
