The 38th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic, Oct 17-18, 2015, will be returning to the historic Hancock Golf Course in Austin! Hancock is the small, beautiful 9-hole ball golf course located at E. 41st and Red River, and was the very first golf course in Austin. It is just a mile or two north of our beloved Waterloo Park, and the same creek runs through it that runs through Waterloo (Waller Creek).

Austin�s original disc golf tournament makes a return engagement at Austin�s original ball golf course. We will have two 18-hole courses again this year, so a maximum of 180 players. Last year we filled up and had a waiting list. The reviews were great and it is going to be awesome again this year!

This year will be a huge milestone in the event's history: we will break the $100,000 mark in money raised for our charity, the Austin Ronald McDonald House (RMH). We will be celebrating this achievement all weekend. The Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic became a charity event in 1998, so in just 18 years we will have donated over $100,000 to RMH; an average of over $5,000 per year.

Now that we know the 38th Waterloo DG Classic will be at the Hancock Golf Course this year, it is the perfect time to save your spot in this wonderful tournament. Regular registration hasn't started yet and the event is expected to fill up quickly once it does. Don�t take a chance on missing out, take the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge now.

The way it works is this: send the Waterloo Club a check or money order for $100 now. Your spot in the tournament is guaranteed. When fees for the different divisions are set, we will deduct from your $100:

All the money left goes directly to the charity. For the past two years at Hancock, we have averaged 93 McC-Noters, which added about $2,900 each year to the total charitable donation!

To clarify something that has come up occasionally: this money saves �your� spot, not �a� spot. Once the tournament fills up and there is a waitlist, if you have to cancel you can�t just give your spot to someone else. As with any cancellation, the spot goes to the next person on the waitlist. If you do have to cancel, you will receive a refund of everything except what would have gone to the charity (and that money will still be added to the donation).

Don�t wait too long and end up missing out on this wonderful event. Send in your money now and you won�t have to worry about it filling up without you.

The Waterloo Disc Golf Club is proud to announce that it is hosting the 38th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic in Austin, TX on October 16-18, 2015, at the historic Hancock Golf Course. The tournament will again benefit the Austin Ronald McDonald House (RMH), and will be extra special this year because we will break the $100,000 mark in total cash donations to RMH.

� For a sponsorship of $250 or more: your logo or name on the back of the official tournament shirt and on two tee-box signs (one sign on each course). Plus, you may also display one of your banners at tournament headquarters. Your logo/name also will be added to the Sponsor List that will be displayed at the course and included in the tournament program.

� For $150 - $249: your logo/name on two tee-box signs and on the Sponsor List.

� For up to $149: your name on the Sponsor List.

The flyer doesn�t really translate well to a board like this, but the entry form in �text� version is below (in the next post). You must either mail in your entry, with payment, or bring it to Zilker on Thursday evenings to give to me (Gordon). Postmark or the date I receive it in my hand will determine your date of entry. If there will be a Thursday when I can�t make it to Zilker, then I�ll designate the person who is running the mini/league that night to take them. Otherwise they need to come to me, not to someone else to give to me. Sorry, but no online registration and no electronic payment is available.

We have about 90 Father Dave McC-Note Challengers right now (half-full), so that leaves about 90 spaces available. But don�t wait, the tournament usually fills up within 7 � 10 days; mail your entry in ASAP to secure your spot in this fun, awesome tournament. Also, even though registration is now open, you can still take the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge. It no longer has the benefit of saving your spot, but you will still be helping out the charity plus you�ll get a cool McC-Note goodie in your player�s pack and you�ll have an extra CTP each round that is for McC-Noters only. Every year a number of people do this, you can be one of them this year.

Hosted by Waterloo Disc Golf Club, this is a PDGA �C� tier event at the historic Hancock Golf Course at E. 41st & Red River, just north of downtown Austin. Proceeds from this tournament (including $1 per person per round) go to the Austin Ronald McDonald House and disc golf projects in Austin�s parks. There will be two great �Waterloo Park� style courses.

All Singles players MUST check in at Tournament HQ either Friday between 3:00 � 7:00 pm or Saturday between 7:30 � 8:30 am. Anyone not checked in by 8:30 am Saturday morning will be dropped and the spot filled with someone from the waitlist.

Doubles will be on Friday; Bring your own partner, $13 per person (includes $5 greens fee for the round); flex start tee off begins at 11:00 am and continues until around 4:45 pm. Play either course, or get there early and play them both.
