Having recently had my entry fee to the Masters Cup taken as I could not make it, I ask the question, if you sign up for an event, give over 2 weeks notice you can't make, can the TD just keep your money? This happened to me with regards to The Masters Cup. I've had two emails saying the check is in the mail, look at the calendar, The Masters Cup was a while ago. I gave full notice 17 days before the event.

This makes me really ashamed to be a pdga member and as a member that has donated a lot to tournaments on behalf of my business those days are 100% over. I've heard so many young good players wonder why more money isn't involved and I can say my company's money is no longer involved because of the unprofessional-ism of the pdga at times like these.

Policy according to the Competition Manual (http://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/section-1-tournament-procedures/13-withdraws-and-refunds) is that any entry at a PDGA event that is withdrawn more than two weeks before the tournament is to be refunded 100% less any postage/handling fees. If you haven't received it yet, I'd keep hounding them. That's not cool that they've taken this long.

That said, I don't know why the PDGA as a whole is getting your ire. This is on the TDs of this particular event. They're the ones that don't deserve your company's money in the future. Of course, you're free to do what you want, but I don't see that you should hold everyone responsible for the actions (or inactions) of, at most, a few individuals.

yeah i remember getting last cash at the masters cup a few years back, left before they handed out said cash, never did see it...... dont give up on your money though, they usually have lots of people helping with that tournament and it may have been overlooked, not to make excusese for them....

"They're the ones that don't deserve your company's money in the future."

You are correct. The situation is one of those where having written me twice saying it is in the mail the emotions get bottled up.

The TD has contacted me, through PayPal should be coming to my credit card, the modern world of electronic transactions. In all fair respect the TD has addressed this and I am very grateful. I still hate having to cancel more than not getting the money back too! Thank you TJ.

And once again the refund was given properly on time, it came through paypal and I didn't notice, no need to be upset I guess! The TD was timely and hopefully I get the time to play next year.
