I just wanted to get this on here, for those that look at this site, and may not see the posts on facebook. There are two events coming up in the River Valley area in February.
The first event will be Feb 2nd at Lake Fort Smith State Park, and it is the 7th Annual WAFDA led Ice Bowl. This event will benefit the Food For Kids program at Mountainburg Schools. Entry fees are $25 for all, Muligans and Raffle tickets will also be sold, and there will be a players pack and a players lunch provided. 2 rounds of golf on a special temporary course set up in the park.
The second event will be on Feb 9th at the Van Buren Municipal Park, in Van Buren Arkansas. This event is the Fling Into 4-H benefit tourney, and it will benefit the Crawford County 4-H organization, helping kids go to camps, workshops and competitions. This event will be in the same format as the Ice Bowl, with $25 entry, mulligans and raffle tickets. It will also be held on a temporary course, and will include two rounds of play.
Please come out and support these local events, and if you know any business or individula that would donate raffle items or money to these events, please contact me. We are doing hole sponsorships, $50/hole, for the Ice Bowl, which will get a person or businesses name on a Hole Tee Sign to show that they sponsored that hole, and will include their name on the Facebook site and mentioned during the players meeting.
