I'm a new member to PDGA, classification Amateur. I want to play in the high available class allowed but not sure which one that is. Intermediate? Advanced?

The "highest" amateur division is Advanced or MA-1.

If you are new to the PDGA and tournament play you might want to consider Intermediate or MA-2.
