Things liek ace pot and skins are not part of the payout. Does the PDGA discipline TDs for failure to payout on side games like that?

Infractions can be reported. Disciplinary Committee can review the case and decide what's appropriate.

I haven't encountered a TD failing to pay out on side games....but I don't recall agreeing to any such thing in the sanctioning agreement, either.

I think the TD's damaged reputation among local players would be more effective.

In some cases where I ran an event, I indicated either on the form, or at the players meeting that if No ace was hit, that the money would be going to the local club. Sometimes I do a 50/50 split with a CTP at the end of the day with 50% to the club. I personally don't like to do that, as I am a person that if I play horribly, I may want to hop in the car and start driving home. So if I do that, how many others do that? Is it fair for me to give away money to a person just because they stayed longer? I dunno, depends on my mood as a TD, and how well the players were acting on the day. Barometer test. Generally though I state the intentions at the meeting, or the afternoon meeting so that everyone is aware. A lot of times I will call out a CTP on a hole as a back up to the CTP after the round....then everyone has a shot at some mooola!

I have to agree I have NEVER heard of anyone not paying out on SKINs, how could you? Most of the time it is handed out after it is won in all the years that I have seen it done.....only about 14 now...but wow, yeah if a TD didn't pay up, bells and whistles would be going off on my return trip.......unless I of coruse left cuz I had a bad round, and didn't know of it transpiring.....

rest assured that Rick will do the accounting, and based on the correct information send it out. I am not Rick, nor is Rick I, so what I stated doesn't go for every TD in Kansas City (we have about 8-10 people that run events here.....) so the words expressed on how I DO THINGS, are only how I do things, and I explain it generally pretty well at the meetings. During the bigger events that I have ran, there is a plan in place for an ace fund if it is done in advance. If it isn't, and we have the envelope that you put your name on the day of, then that is where I typically state what the intention is for the ace fund.

If you came to some of the flat lands up here in the midwest, maybe you would know how we put on some of the shin-digs!
