hello,
question for you all, and hopefully with correct quotes and references.

hypothetical case, inspired by actual mishap during tournament

group A. 3 players

group B. 3 players

group C. 3 players

group A all tee off from incorrect tee-pad XX, and hole out on incorrect basket XX, and move on to next hole YY. and are told about it by a player from another group some time afterwards.

group B all tee of from incorrect tee-pad XX and while walking towards away disc, stumble across correct tee-pad XX, then re-tee from correct tee-pad XX, and hole out on correct basket XX. then move on to hole YY.

group C first player in group tees off from incorrect tee-pad XX, and before player 2 tees off, the mistake is spotted, and all players move on to correct tee-pad XX.

apart from possible other issues that might be in place here.. correctly sign-posted tees and pads, and player awareness, just addressing the penalties to be applied to these groups.

Am i correct in interpreting 801.04 as follows?

group A:
all players receive +2 for incorrect tee
all players receive +2 for incorrect basket

group B:
player 1 receives +2 (due to "subsequent throw" vs. practise throw")
player 2 receives +2 (due to "subsequent throw" vs. practise throw")
player 3 receives +1 (due to "subsequent throw" vs. practise throw")
where according to my interpretation, player 2 is the "subsequent throw" of player 1's throw
and player 3 is the "subsequent throw" of player 2's throw
and since away player didn't make subsequent throw yet, player 3 has not had a "subsequent throw" finalise his own throw.
i think the base question here is, is "subsequent throw" one player's OWN next throw, or is ANY subsequent throw of ANY player in that group a "subsequent throw"

group C:
player 1 receives +1 (practise throw)
player 2 nothing
player 3 nothing

Group A: Each player gets a 2-throw penalty for playing one hole incorrectly. Once a single hole is misplayed, you don't compound misplay penalties if there are additional misplays on that same hole. This is how it's been interpreted by the PDGA Competition Director when compound misplay penalties have come up in the past.

Group B: Each player gets a 1-throw practice throw penalty. The wording in the rule for "subsequent throw" applies to each player individually. No player made a "subsequent throw" in this example.

Group C: First player gets the 1-throw practice throw penalty.
