Beatty Park
5th Annual Beatty Park Ice Bowl
Format:18 hole tournament, 1 round
Date: 1/28/2012
Registration: 10:00am to 10:45am
Tee off: 11:00am
Entry Fee: $10 dollars and a bag of canned food or non perishable food.
Charities: All money collected will be given to the 4th Street Health Clinic, all food will be donated to The Steubenville Urban Mission.
Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Lunch: A free hot lunch consisting of spicy chili, fried chicken, mac salad and deserts will be served at The World Famous "Spot" Bar immediately following the tournament.
Prizes: A prize raffle will be help after lunch, gifts will include gift cards from local restaurants and stores - grand prize two Pittsburgh Penguins tickets. Last year over $500 worth of prizes were raffled off.

On a snowy Saturday morning at Schenley Park, The Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society (PFDS) hosted their 11th Ice Bowl fundraiser disc golf tournament for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. 35 participants raised $1,278 and approximately 300 non-perishable food items for Pittsburgh area families.
The PFDS is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting the growth of disc golf in Western Pennsylvania. The PFDS would like to thank all of the participants and the generous contributions collected from friends, family, and colleagues. Event supporters included Dunham’s Sports, Sonoma Grill, Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP), The Greek Catholic Union (GCU) and Flex Disc Golf.
Division winners for the event included: Open – Vince Slaugh (51), Women – Jonda Lauria (66), Intermediate – Darin Laird (55), Recreational – Bill Rohrey (59), Junior – Isaac Meeder (73).
