We are starting to get a number of inquiries about 2012 TX State Am Doubles at the Snow Farm. Waterloo DGC will run it again. Dates will likely by Mar 3-4, but these are not confirmed yet. We are finalizing who the TD will be. We have a few people interested and willing, and we should have a final decision soon.

In the meantime, Bird would like to know if you are part of a team that is interested in playing as a mixed team. He is trying to get a read on how many teams might be in the �division�; there would be no division break for mixed (meaning no Int Mixed, Adv Mixed, Rec Mixed, etc. just Mixed). He is also looking into possibly getting the mixed division sanctioned � which we haven�t been able to do before.

This event will be a PDGA sanctioned B/XB event. All PDGA rules will be in effect. No two meter rule. Each team will be guaranteed 3 rounds of 18 holes. There will also be a final 9 for approximately the top half in each division.

Entry Fees � Recreational $50,
Intermediate $50,
Advanced $60
Advanced Master $60,
Advanced Grandmaster $50,
Mixed $50

Fees are per player and PDGA and greens fees are included. All non-current PDGA members please add $10. Optional $5 ace pot. Each division must have a minimum of 3 teams. Registration can be done online through Team Justice at www.TeamJusticeDiscGolf.com This event will fill up quickly, so please get your registration in soon. There will be no day-of registration on Saturday. Camping is available for non-participants at $7 a night and can be paid at the course

Teams will be placed in one of two pools. The A pool will tee early on Saturday morning and at least one member from each team of pool A must check in on Friday, March 2 between 3:00-10:00pm. If your team does not check in on Friday, your spot will be forfeit. If there are problems with getting there on time, the tournament director must be informed ahead of time. Participants from pool B will be allowed to check in on Friday, March 2 but must be checked in by Saturday, March 3 by 9am.

Doubles formats that will be used are Best Shot, Worst Shot, Alternate Shot and Best Score. More information on these formats will be made available at the event in your player information booklet. A new fun item at the tournament this year will be a Kan-Jam tournament Saturday night, The winning team will get their own Kan-Jams. We will also have 2 brand new Innova baskets in the raffle � it�s gonna be HUGE!
