It was not in effect last year and you took fourth, made some epic shots (that putt in the playoff with Anthony), and really impressed me with your skills and sportsmanship. Please do not let this one hitch ruin the event for you. Also, IIRC, you shot a 50 on the "thumber" course...not too shabby. Finally, there are several new tee positions and OB's that will put the squeeze on those slightly less evolved overhead chuckers. So, should I put you down as attending?

The 2 meter rule is NOT in effect because..... The PDGA can not decide to make it a rule or not..... Rules are rules... I think its should be a rule... But its not.... untill it becomes an official rule "NOT A TD DECISION" the 2 meter rule will not be in play at any Fly Ink events. No they dont... THEY INFORCE THE RULES. OB is OB they can decide were OB will be but they can not change that rule. Jump puts in side of ten feet... Not going to happen. Walk in to a lake and find your disc... Now shoot from that lie.... Not going to happen, OB and the 2 meter are not the same.... This is only my opinion and am not trying to ruffel feathers.:)

Agreed.... I think courses that were desined before the rule are hurt by this.... Live Oak was.... McClain was not.... McClain is the thumber course not Live Oak... But as I said before.... One thing missing off your entry form is what course this is at. Very confusing but after reading this jiberish I see it's at Mclame. Old guys can't throw many thumbers unless your LT. I think I will set my sites on this one and sponsor a hole.

The courses are listed on the registration website at disc golf station. Two of the rounds will be played at Live Oak. Sorry the gibberish caused you to be confused.

Back to FLY INK OPEN......The FLY INK guys run a fine event and this is their crowning event, So I sure this will be a well run event.....sign up early.....it really helps the TD out

Like Edman said, play with the old guys. Most of us fools can't lift our arms above our heads, nor throw a disc that way. As an added bonus, we also never put true in our puddin.

At McClain where the whole back nine is 2-3 shots easier with a thumber......BTW I like the choice...don't need the 2M rule on a course with 50ft cedars everywhere (Columbia, MO). I saw a guy win with 12 2M penalties...and if you ask me that is the kind of course where @M is not needed.

BTW the same is true for guys like me who throw hyzers over the top....except they are harder to place within a 30ft circle.

I agree Matt, I would love to add some mandos and force the line that was designed to be there. I did add two long tees to take the thumb out. Hole 7 I added 100ft to and its now a tuff little hole.... But there is that back 9!!! Thumbopollis!!

This is truly a sad situation. I know Dave, with Fly Ink, is having a very hard time right now and I want to extend my condolences for what has happen to him.

Thanks to the San Antonio Disc Club for stepping up and making a huge move to help out. This really shows how strong of a club we have.

FYI, I also relocated several tees on the Hill course today to try and avoid the ACL like mud put that formed on a few of the tee boxes. Mostly 18 - 21B. For those playing the lake there will likely be a new basket on 6 & a new tee on 7. I'll check the other tees in the early AM and relocate as needed. If you see 2 flags near the orignal tee, that is the new tee for Sunday.
