It was before recorded disc golf history. Essentially these discs were grandfathered in when the standards started being kept.

I think what's more likely is that the PDGA records were poorly kept for many years, and when the official list was compiled, the exact approval dates were retrieved from the manufacturers. Those manufacturers that had similarly sparse record-keeping are probably the ones that are blank on the list.

The Wham-O discs dated 1964 or whatever are probably their original manufacture date or something. The PDGA didn't exist prior to 1976, so it's not like they could approve discs prior to that.

Sort of related, is there any way to search events for super class events, other than looking for the phrase "super class" in the name of the event?

Not really. Contact the Tour Manager who might be able to provide a list. They are all XC tiers so searching those might also narrow it down.

Where did the list of approved discs go? It's now "Page not found."

Never mind, I see that the link got renamed overnight, making my bookmark non-functional. :(

But one more facet of the iron curtain now enclosing the precious site data, I take it.

I'm beginning to wonder, is the notorious slowness of the website an intentional measure aimed at thwarting automated data scrapers by causing them to time out?

These link names never change but the actual document links change names every time the list is updated (it's always been that way "conspiracy theorist"):

Thanks, Chuck! Sorry, but the PDGA Secret Police keep beaming these conspiracy theories into my head with their mind control lasers. Where's the tinfoil? :P
