I wanted to drop a line about the progress in Charlotte on courses for 2012. We have three under construction right now. The "Scrapyard" at Idlewild designed and built by Rob Kelly and Ralph Vickers. Craig Whitney and Chris Picerno have designed and are building at Smith Park. Bradford Park is a Stan McDaniel design. Construction has just been approved at a fourth course, Winget Park, which is a Sam Nicholson design. When these four are complete it will bring our course count to 14 permanent courses. This is how many courses we need to properly host a combined Pro/Am Worlds. We have three other courses that are hopefuls and if they happen will give us more options on good course combinations for each pool at the 2012 Worlds.

On a side note, the Wilmington area just opened its 2nd course at Joe Eakes Park in Kure Beach, and Arrowhead Park is on the current agenda.

Awesome ! More vacation options for me. On the downside, more maintenance headaches for you guys !!! Not a bad problem to have.
