The best tape, and i have tried many looking to find the brightest and most durable, has been the 3M used by the DGA with the clear protectant Film over the colored tape. this combo will last three years or more.

Out door vinyl used for decals on semis and racing cars is just as good, we use it on the Titans and I agree it improves your ability to hone in on the pole.
