Thanks for everything you do, Gordon! The hours you spend helping out can never be fully appreciated!

I think that the Austin area disc golf community could advocate that the "Pease Park Memorial 9-Hole Beginner and Intermediate Lower Shoal Creek Disc Golf Course" be implemented after the construction of new non-point source pollutant filters in the urban Shoal Creek Watershed. It may take a couple of more years for major restoration to occur after that. The college community would greatly benefit from this recreational resource when the land would allow for a re-install of 9 holes. It could be promoted also as a family beginner course.

Tournament and experienced players would honor and respect this course to be utilized by a certain level of player. This allows for other courses to possibly be designated as having a suggested user level as maybe advanced and pro. The local clubs could collaborate on a standard. Searight might be intermediate to pro. Circle C could be similarly designated. It would be advisable for beginners to go to an appropriate course for that level of play. Bartholomew could be designated beginner to advanced. (These are ideas only.)

Before the years of construction and restoration in Pease Park, we could have an agreement in place to allow for a once (twice?) a year tournament for COTO (Waterloo?) in Pease Park. We could offer even some temporary tree protections. We should talk to the City about this now using modern political negotiating skills...wait maybe not like they do in Washington!

Just a reminder (find more details on Waterloo's website or Facebook page)

THIS SATURDAY - Pease Park Party & Minis: We are saying good bye to our beloved Pease Park disc golf course this year. Please come out this Saturday to play Waterloo's 9:00 and/or 2:00 minis to say adios to an Austin landmark (just $5 for Ams, $10 Pros). There will be T-shirts for sale, sausage wraps, a live band, silent auction and/or raffles, brewskies and much much more.

We are hoping to have some nice auction items of Pease history. If anyone has any Pease memorabilia that they would like to donate to the auction (shirts, discs, minis, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

The 9 am morning mini will be considered our December Monthly Mini. This means it starts with the ace pot money that has been growing all year, somewhere around $350. If no aces are hit, it will carry over to Januarys mini.

The 2 pm afternoon mini will have the classic $5 Pease ace pot pay-in. If no aces are hit, there will be a CTP at the end of the round for the cash.

Can't wait to see ya!

Waterloooooooo!!!!!
