Awaiting Confirmation from Dee on our entry. She said that there was a 70% chance we could get in as a 6 man emerging team and a 50% chance at a established team, so i submitted a emerging team.

Hey Manny - I may have a girl that was dropped by a team of a-holes that could really use a good team (thank God a Round Rock team would NEVER do that - what a bunch of a-holes, when I find out what team it was - it's on biches). Think about it & let me know if you think you wanna step up the game a littel & play with the big Dawgs. Emerging is great - it gets you out there, blah, blah blah. Merged is where all the fun (and the rest of us) are. If you think you can pull together 2 more dudes, I'll work on your lady & Dee to see if I can get you in.

JonD has a large amount of firewood as well. Don't believe his cut into manageable pieces though, but i could be wrong.

We need more than one 1/3 height barrel this year. :)

The WTF & the Lolo's are joining forces for some match play warm up at the ranch. We'll be headed out Sat the 6th for a 10:30 start. All the ladies are invited & the boyz can come too - it said husbands & boyfriends, but ya'll are my brothers, so I figure that's close enough. I don't know if the extra 18 holes will be cut in & set (doubtful), but a day at the ranchis always a good time. Hope to see you there, don't forget your greens feesdiscounted to $5 - the website says the hill is closed for maint - that sounds strange.

Stayed home last night and cut a bunch of wood (barrel size) and even split some of it up. Just need someone to come over and pick up.....should make for some good camp fires

i have some myself but i won't be taking my truck. may go out there next week. if so i'll pick it up and take mine and leave at camp site.

yep, trying to get upgraded to an established team. Judd is joining and Lala has a call out to our Womens player, just waiting for a response. i have to calls out to adv/int players and it will be final. Judd will go ahead and pay for the 3 players lacking payment and they can pay him when they get there. i went out there today and saw only one barrel that was just before the downslope on The Meadow, Hole 10. VERY RUSTED and BENT. But its there. Hopefully i can find something out about the last adv/int player and the girl by tomorrow. i will then call judd and he will pay for those 3. played 9 today on the meadow with Houck, judd, judds dad. fairways are a little tall but josh is still mowing daily. will post a couple of pics on the facebook site shortly.

we upgraded our team to an established team. i just spoke with Dee at 9:30 this morning and she said that John is still working very hard to fit in all the teams, they are clearing out trees to add more holes out there and as soon as that is done they will they will first email the Team Captains on who is in, then post on the PDGA site and the Facebook Texas Teams site. As soon as i hear back I will post in this forum.

Anyone still looking for some firewood? I have about 8 pieces of freshly cut live oak. They are 4-6 inches in diameter and about 3 feet long. Perfect for fireplace too if you cut them. In my back yard but you'll have to come to Pflugerville to get them.

All four Double R Teams are in! Way to step up & get the Dawgs off the porch Manny. I'll check on the status of our shirts this weekend & let you know where we stand - hope we can pull that off for all 36 players. The cabinet has agreed that the club will bring 2 kegs this year & no food or other stuff. You'll need to pack everything you drink away from camp, but we'll have 2 nice kegs to keep us warm at camp. Shaping up to be lots of fun - new cabinet will be announce @ Teams as well. Don't forget to turn in your ballot to a current cabinet member by Thursday the 18th.

The cabinet voted on 2 kegs of good beer. In the past, we've had a keg of good beer & a keg of Bud Light or Miller Light (dif each year) & it seems while many of the members don't choose to buy good beer all the time, they're certainly not bashful about drinking it. The keg of light has gone back half full each year, so we're getting 2 good kegs. Hadn't thought about flavors yet, need to get with my distributor to see who can get us a deal. I was thinking Firemans4 (or another nice lager) & Sirere Neveda (or another nice Pale Ale).

That stuff that Circle R had last year on Saturday night, the darker of the two, was the BOMB!!!!! Pretty sure it was from Blanco Brewing Co.

Saturday reminded me that practicing disc golf isn't the best prep for Teams. What you really need to do is schedule yourself for two 3 hour hikes with your golf bag, 2 bottles of water & four beers. If you did that every day from now til Teams & practiced putting, you'll kill the rest of the field - no matter what spot you're playing. :)

Yes I said a lager & an IPA. I'm not going out to buy kegs for me & Ed & Steve-O & the Readings. I'm buying kegs for the club members that are playing Teams. I have found by asking our members at golf & out with them what they want. For the most part, even the members that drink Miller Lite on Wed drink good beer both out & at home.

One pale & one lager - both good quality. Not dark, not heavy, just not crap. I prob wont get Spaten casue it's malt liquor & malt liquor makes people talk **** & fight. The last thing this club needs is any more **** talking & fighting.

The Readings are not on a RR Team - the FunHaters didn't ask them cause they're missing their last match for a Roger Waters show. I was using them as examples of people that would also enjoy a dark and or heavy keg.

Thanx for the appriciation. I'm glad I consider every member when voting on the board to do the work I do for each of you rather than just do whatever I'd like. If it were up to me, we'd have 512IPA & some other heavyass high alch content beer that make you fall into a chair, cut your hand & go to the ER - oh wait you did that all on just Bud Light.

Please get off my case, really - we'll have two nice kegs - nothing too heavy & no one should talkshit or fall down because of the beer.

Not into heavy beers, even though Budweiser is a lager, but will try a cup or so of the keg beer.........everyone to their own I always say.......I'll be fine with my Buds as everyone should be with whatever they drink......but I will say that on wednesday's the Buds do get pounded (no problem on this end, thats why I bring a case every week). Now at teams??? The ice chest will be under lock & Key.....!!!!

Edman & Steve-O cut new fire pits yesterday after the mini. These are larger & more open (more heat:)). They will need to be dug down a little to secure them, but it should be much better then before.

Great job Steve-O & Ed-Man..............need some help from the Krunk Rockers....Rusty & I will be there sometime between 2pm & 2:30 friday 11/19 with a pop-up camper. The help we need is for someone to save us a spot near the big camp site for us to set up. We will need only about 20-foot or so to do it......thanks in advance for your help with this matter.......

First let me start by thanking C-Ware for giving me another chance with team Krunk Rock. After the last two years I would not have asked me to play after going 0 & 5 then 1 & 4...but you did and I thank you for that Captian Krunk..........And another thanks to Chili for leaving his phone on before the final 8.....yeah I know, just needed some a/c and a short drive to get your mind back into it..........also need to thank Blake, Blair (also went 7 & 0), Jimmy, Tony, Mike Ware and last but not least Linda, who came up so big in that final round. Way to dig deep girl......that was so huge, you have no idea......so congrats to all teams for showing the state, that we love our golf in Round Rock, and we can now say as loud as we wish ROUND ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost forgot to thank some other folks for a great weekend............First, the club for bringing two kegs of beer (dark but good and floated), Blake/Blair for the awsome steaks on saturday night, C-Ware Mike Ware & Jerry P for the great breakfast tacos........and for Rusty towing the pop-up.........and last but not least my wife Laurie for letting go play with the boys this past weekend............god I'm glad she did..........Oh and my son Brian and his girl Laura for making runs saturday for beer and sunday for smokes.......what a great club we have and what great people we have in the club.......Krunk Rock Texas Team Champions 2010.............ROUND ROCK!!!!!!!!!

No wonder I've never heard the word before, you said the word rappers........for a split second I thought you were referring to music. Silly me!!!

I, Manny Gonzales, of Team Rock Dawgs, representing Double R Disc Golf Club, do hereby submit an apology to all club members that helped me get the team together, that allowed me to represent the club as another Established Team, only for me not to show on the second day of play due to my inability to not be able to handle my drinking. I put myself in a situation that I could not get out of due to my existing epileptic condition as I need a minimum of 6 hours sleep with not drinking and more with drinking. I did not get home till about 1am that morning and was up at 5, still very blurry. I did not want to drive back sunday morning as i didnt want to get a DWI or put the other player i was taking back to Teams life in jeopardy as i could have had a seizure while behind the wheel. As there is no DWI backups for members similar to the acepot backups, i did not want to chance it. I realize the club REALLY stuck their neck out for me and helped me get my team together for Teams so quickly, and for that I am truly appreciative. I will continue to be an active part of the Cabinet, help to resolve issues with the club, vote on issues, and be a part of the best DG club around. I have no bad feelings toward any club members and I wish everyone in the club Happy Holidays and an even better Happy New Year Playing Disc Golf.
